Third Time Lucky for Roberts
at 11:58:55

Let's give the lad a chance shall we. We're you at your best in the first few weeks of your job? It may be he isnt good enough but personally I'll make that judgement at the end of the season when he's actually played some football in a town shirt.

Hurst: There Have Been Waghorn Bids But Not at a Value We'd Consider
at 17:19:30

This has last day written all over it. I think the club needs to come out and say they won't sell him at any price on the last day or if there isn't time to get a replacement.

Barnet 0-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:07:32

Interesting to see how the new team will set out but my major concern is numbers. We have 19 days until the window shuts and we need two centre backs, a defensive midfielder and a striker. That's the minimum otherwise we could struggle.

Come on town let's get some bodies in the building!

Huws Ruled Out for Rest of Season
at 07:27:47

Because Evans refuses to dip in his pocket we have signed a number of injury prone players over the last few years. The question is are they worth the gamble?

Tenth Anniversary of Evans Takeover
at 21:44:12

I'm quite suprised by all the thanks marcus for saving our club nonsense. We were £30m in debt we're now more than £80m in debt. It seems he isn't even putting 6m a year if it just gets add to the debt. A debt I would suggest he benefits from. His under investment in the club is the reason we nearly got relegated the season MM came and Evans is luck MM can make a team work on very little money. Its easy to pin where we are on the manager (and he doesn't help himself) but Evans lack of investment is what holds us back.

McCarthy Delighted With Cup Victory
at 07:27:18

So refreshing to come away from this fixture with a win. It does seem MM has listened to the fans on the style, although we need to be realistic on what this team can achieve. I worry about Webster...can he stay fit?

Lincoln City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report

We have totally lost our way. Afraid to pass the ball and just hoofing it away against a side 59 places lower. MM won't be sacked in the morning tho. How depressing this club is right now.

McCarthy: Difference Between the Sides a Penalty and a Worldy
at 19:10:37

Was at the game and it was pretty dire from start to finish. We look like a team with no game plan right now. Despite having no big man up front, we still want to just clip it forward and hope for the best. McG drops in to collect the ball and try and build something leaving no one up top. We just looked so toothless going forward. We feel rudderless at the moment. I can't see a single thing to feel positive about in this team. Where do we go from here?

If this is Murphy's replacement it says everything about where the club is at the moment. I'll wait until the window shuts to pass judgement.

Benitez: Murphy Will Add Competition Up Front
at 09:20:47

Am I the only one who thinks we should have got more than £3m? Didn't we turn down £5m from
Middlesborough a year ago. In the year of silly money I think we could have got more.

Think how different everyone would feel about MM and the team if we had won the last two games. Basically they did but decisions cost us.

Murph: I Should Have Scored More
at 12:28:26

What most have missed on here is that almost every team has doubled up on him this season. Not his fault. Teams have worked us out, stop the long ball to Murphy and stop us scoring. What MM has failed to do is use the space created wisely. I really feel this is the only difference from last season. The midfield is still lacking in creativity so once the long ball to the big man is gone, we've got nothing else.

Portsmouth 2-1 Town - Match Report
at 22:05:01

For all the talk of this seasons squad having more depth, defensively we have no cover what so ever. What exactly would we do if berra got injured and the knudsen limped off? We have one option for cover chambo to the center, cover at right back. In reality mm would go straight to the loan market. This shows the back up players aren't good enough.

McCarthy Not Bothered Where the Points Are Won
at 08:44:44

Haha ever the forum of extremes....we're going to win the league...were rubbish! Neither are true of course. When will people stop harping on about the good old days when we played one touch football and won every game 4-3 (and I was there and loved it). Times change people. Ok the MK Dons (the stolen club) wasn't a complete performance, where we swept them aside. It was still an away win that put us in the top 6. Short memories people.....Keane....Jewel...

McCarthy: The Lads Are Devastated
at 18:28:57

Still defending a goalkeeper who lost us the same fixture, in the same way, at the same time of the match last season. Gerken is a liability. We have not been on a good run with him in goal. Bart was in goal for all of our success last season. Just how can MM not see Gerken's lack of command of his box is costing us?

McCarthy: Stick Together and We Can Turn it Around
at 08:13:00

It is easy to find a scapegoat but....wasn't it around this time last season Gerken lost us it to forest in the last minute by flapping at a corner (after leading 0-2). Bart then came in and from then on we looked solid.

McCarthy: Draw a Fair Result
at 12:17:56

Wow! What a turn around in just a few weeks from 'in Mick we trust' to 'Mick out'. Understandable we are getting tired of the same words and tactics from MM but I can't help feeling this is a product of his own success last season. Expectation has risen sharply, especially after last seasons home form. Lets not forget though that we 10 years of finishing 15th before MM. We are currently 10th with a long way to go. I do however think that the reason we are struggling is that MM hasn't (for whatever reason) signed good enough players. Particularly in defence there are no competition for places, no wonder the likes of Tommy Smith and Berra's form has dropped.

Derby Linked With McGoldrick Move
at 10:15:31

He's been missing half a season so it is easy to forget how good he is. If MM would play him just behind Murphy and sears that's a frightening forward line.
