I was fortunate enough to play with Trevor Whymark when he retired from professional football at our village side of Wortwell in Norfolk. He could control the ball with his head and cheat better than i could my feet. Very sad to hear of his alzheimers diagnosis and wish him all very best.

I went to school with Trevor Whymarks 2 boys and had the honour of playing alongside him for a season for the village side Wortwell in his late playing years. It always amazed me how he could control the ball with his head or chest better than I could with my feet. Eric gates was one of my boyhood Heros and such a character of the game

I think Jewell is more shrewd than some of you are giving him credit for. He has attracted better quality signings than we have seen in years. He needs to be given time to let them gel as it won't work overnight.
