Big shame.

Might you consider an annual end of season review issue?

barnesey- any evidence of this 'violent abusive coaching technique' Keane employs or have you just plucked it out of the air?

Thought so.

Gerken: I Meant to Miss It
at 10:15:44

If he meant to miss it, he failed. From directly behind the incident, the ball went into the net off his gloves, no question.

He'd have been better off saying nothing at all rather than that load of cobblers.

Keane: More Players Could Leave on Loan
at 15:38:04

Quinn- seems to show a lot of effort, running around like a headless chicken but no quality. Endless long-range shots aimed at the upper stands and who could forget Sheffield Utd last season, coming on at the end and needlessly handling the ball to give away an equalising penalty? Not the kind of player we want.

Keane Happy With Point

We're leading the game and in the last ten minutes, Priskin has a golden chance to secure the points but fluffs it, opposition score a late leveller. Anyone else feeling a touch of deja vu? Anyone?

The Real Deals?
at 16:25:02

MarcFowler- can't agree with your comments about Delaney. He did look a bit better coming forward on Tuesday night and put in a couple of decent crosses, but his defending wasn't great (just ask Mr. Earnshaw) Getting better every game is not so hard when you were completely pants to begin with!

Middlesbrough and Sheffield United Linked With McAuley
at 12:33:13

I know that he improved as last season went on but I've never seen more to McAuley than an average header and hoofer of the ball. You might get the odd great tackle out of him, but so you should, that is his job. Part of his job is also distribution, and was captaincy, both of which have been woeful. If he was our 'stand-out' player, it doesn't say much for the rest of the team!

I don't rate him, but I don't think he's a complete donkey either and it would be crazy to let him go without getting someone better (and provenly so) in first. Someone who will also help to nurture Bruce, Balkestein and Smith because from what we see on the pitch, Gareth doesn't have what it takes in that area either.

Keane: You Won\'t Play for Me Again
at 12:20:43

Maybe this start to the season is just what we needed- highlight some weaknesses and deal with them rather than carrying dead-wood and settling for mediocrity. And I can't help but feel that if Norris, Peters and Counago hadn't been out injured, perhaps some of our weak areas would have been less noticable...
Not that anyone could ever fail to notice how poor Delaney and McAuley have been so far. Lots of negative comments about Healy too, but surely he was only ever brought in as a squad player? Wouldn't have got much of a look in if Peters and Norris were playing, IMO.

Pim and Trotter- both got a lot to learn but with the right people alongside them could be great players. An inspiring, motivating midfielder and same at CB, please Mr. Keane, sir!

Keane: I\'ve Learned a Lot About My Players
at 10:40:20

Lay off McCauley? Why should we when he doesn't perform and looks nothing like captain material?
Delaney is awful. He can't be a full back, surely? I'm not even sure he's a footballer. He needs to improve very quickly or we might as well have kept Richards or, and I never thought I'd hear myself say it, Harding.
Healy and Trotter didn't work well as a combination, might have been better starting with Garvan or Quinn over Healy instead.
That said, I don't think it's all doom and gloom. Had Peters and Pablo not been injured, they may have made a real difference to the balance of the team last night.
But then, like the most of us on here, I don't see what the players do day in, day out at training...
