Now 300 Ipswich fans coming tomorrow
at 09:29 17 Jan 2017

Just for info Mos there are 10-15 Ipswich fans on Imps forums making mischief as well! I doubt if I will ever use my membership of TWTD after today but getting an insight in to opposing fans views is always interesting.

I will be following Ipswich now though and hope you get to the promised land eventually but comparing your level of investment against Brighton where Tony Bloom has put in £200 puts it in to perspective. Personally I think MM is doing as good a job as he can with limited funds.

Where to drink in Lincoln?
at 08:52 16 Jan 2017

Where you may have an advantage over everyone else is that if you are already in Lincoln you can park anywhere on the High street after 6pm for free. Choose somewhere to park towards the south end and walk back up for a meal, lots of good pubs and eateries but the Modern Tandoori has a good reputation if you like a ruby, or Wetherpoons (Ritz) in the same area for cheap pub grub. That way you stand to get a head start on the traffic going south after the match which will be busy with 3000 plus cars on the same single track road. Hope this helps.

Sell out at Lincoln
at 09:36 11 Jan 2017

General queue for tickets started at 4AM this morning, If Ipswich don't want them there is a demand at Lincoln !!

The Lincoln City players are serving coffee to fans in the queue which is about 500 strong and growing after the ticket office opened at 9, don't think Wayne Rooney would do that !!

Lincoln will be disappointed, i am sure they were hoping
at 08:21 10 Jan 2017

Disappointed but not unhappy, the cup run so far has put the club in the black for the first time in 9 years and next Tuesday can only add to that, TV or not. If you win next week we can get on with making sure we get out of this dreadful division and back to the football league so no real downside for us.

Terrible draw
at 22:06 9 Jan 2017

Not much better from our point of view
It's bad enough in our league playing against clubs bankrolled for £4 million a year without being drawn against a club bankrolled for £200 million. Not an attractive tie for anyone.

Any trouble from the Lincoln Transport Elite in Ipswich on Saturday
at 20:56 9 Jan 2017

Looks like the Lincoln Transit Elite (not transport) transit van broke down on the way to the match. The Linclon branch of the Nazi party did not travel either and the Klu Klux Klan offices were closed down some years ago. But thanks for asking.

Thank You Lincoln City

The game will be a sell out if you bring 1800. The queue at the ticket office this morning was about 50 deep and that's only the Season Ticket holders. We will have filled the ground by Wednesday evening.

I think interest from Ipswich may depend on the draw tonight. I can't imagine either club getting excited about Accrington Stanley away and we already have a fixture pile up without any bad winter weather!!

There is a small but significant financial incentive for BT sport to show the match. They can leave all the kit where it is as we are on again on the Friday night!!

To put Hull's post in to perspective, we have been used to small grounds in the conference where stewards resent the 'big' club coming to their village and use their authority to make the whole experience as unpleasant as possible.
Ipswich Town was a great experience from start to finish. To see all the development around the docks and the town was very interesting, very much like the Brayford pool university/waterfront at Lincoln.
The club supporters, staff and local police were Championship level though, the stewards were polite but firm, kept order with a smile and did their job well without offending anyone. We Look forward to next Tuesday and I hope we can host as well as you did.

I just heard something funny
at 19:43 5 Jan 2017

Interestingly enough the away fans claim was a misquote from an over enthusiastic Sports Reporter ( Sportin' Hortin) and was not taken seriously by most Imps fans. Like most reporters in the profession you aspire to he gets it wrong sometimes but is very enthusiastic about his team and a thoroughly nice bloke as well. Good luck in your chosen career!!

OK to slightly alter the point, most limited away allocations are due to home fans needing the seats, what are mighty Ispwich afraid of apart from being outsung??

Lincoln Fans in Section 6?
at 18:57 3 Jan 2017

The 150 'hooligans' are more like 250 and are members of 617 Sqn supporters group (named after the Dambusters). They are mostly young lads and whilst some of them are LTE offspring they are a singing group who create a great atmosphere at matches not a 'firm'. We took 3k plus to Bolton last time we made the 3rd round and there was no trouble at all. The only reason I can see some discontent is as the result of disaffected fans unhappy with being denied an opportunity to watch the game when the stadium is half empty, something I have never heard of before.

Lincoln FA CUP will be the game !!!!!
at 15:00 3 Jan 2017

Strongest available side according to the Ipswich Star. Will that tempt a few more Tractor Boys (and girls) to the match? Thought you were unlucky against QPR and the gap between the divisions is huge looking at the replay. Still it is the FA Cup !!
