| News Comment | Chambers Signs New Deal at 04:52:41
Wow, the amount of disrespect on here for our club captain unbelievable, have a look at yourselves, then have look at the bigger picture. The crop of young players coming through can't speak highly enough of him, there may well be better CBs out there but there are not many better role models. Nice one Chambo, nice one ITFC ðŸ‘🻠|
| News Comment | McCarthy: Tuesday's Atmosphere Was a Disgrace at 18:56:16
"They thought it was brilliant when I got them out of the dirt when they were seven points adrift, and they thought it was brilliant when we finished in the top six." Oh my days, thing is Mick the football back then was no better than it is now, difference is you can get away with carp football when you are winning more than you lose. The reason back then was Murphy having a year when everything he touched turned to gold, what has happened since then, same tactics but nobody upfront to bail you out! |
| News Comment | All-Change for Town at Palace at 17:25:30
Fully back MM on this, firstly he has confirmed the day before it will be a youth team, secondly and more importantly our injury problem was there for all to see when the draw was made, anyone with a bit of common sense would have known that this was a likely scenario, especially as the injury problem has got worse over the past week and a half not better. Good luck to the boys grab the opportunity with both hands......My son is going, he is really looking forward to seeing the likes of Wolfy & Chris Smith, he played in the same team as them for a couple of seasons when they were all knee high to a grasshopper! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Webster Will Play in the Premier League at 11:26:49
Theipswichman, you make a good point, MM has uncovered some gems, Cressy, Mings and now potentially Webster, bought in for relatively small fees being sold on for a much higher fee, all good up to this point, however most of the money in has not found its way back to strengthening the team, so that makes MM a good manager for Evans but I am not sure so good for us fans, yes he has had enough money to keep us in this division, more recently a bit more competitive but we certainly don't look like getting promoted any time soon. For me both MM and Evans seem happy to tread water in this division. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Webster Will Play in the Premier League at 07:42:06
MM was quick to drop Webster are after a slightly indifferent game v Budgies, now he has had to bring him back due to Smith injury. For me Webster has the potential to be the best CB at this place for years. I also think he will do a Cresswell, have a season or so with us before he gets a Prem side come calling and good luck to him. The other reason why MM is happy with him is due to Webster bailing out Chambers at the weekend, when is our RB back slot ever going to get sorted out! |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Jonas Has Been Terrific at 09:24:39
Knudsen is our left back He's got a massive throw But he can't take a short one That's just how it goes He throws them from the left side He throws them from the right But when he takes a short throw They're always f#+#ing 5h1te |
| News Comment | McCarthy Frustrated By Current Position at 14:22:02
If someone was to boo a decision does that mean he is anti this person or that & not a supporter...of course it doesn't, it simply means that like the vast majority of town fans on Saturday they thought that was a poor decision, booing a decision does not mean you are booing an individual....maybe we should have sung " we are not booing you MM just the decision you just made"! |
| News Comment | McCarthy Frustrated By Current Position at 10:20:41
People are over reacting to other people's perceived over reaction, for me MM has done a great job at this club, long may it continue. I have not seen that many posts/threads where fans are calling for him to leave, what I am seeing is increasing frustration around team selection and tactics. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but it is clear to many that unless we can turn out current form around, be it by a change of luck, injured players returning, a tweak in our style of play but probably a bit of all of these we may well miss out on an extended end of season. MM has said in as many words that if that was the case it would be a big disappointment when you look back at how we had placed ourselves at the turn of the year. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: We Should Never Have Lost at 05:57:40
MMs stubborness is bordering on arrogance, he refuses to play players in their correct positions, refuses to play a more open and expansive game, refuses to revert back to 433, last night topped it off...who in their right mind benches not only the leading scorer but also our in-form striker to replace them with a couple of lads that have barely played a game of football between them all season? MM picked a side last night clearly to try to stifle the game, frustrate Leeds and snatch a point....no wonder he is angry because he failed miserably, all he did was frustrate everyone involved with ITFC.. |
