Charlton 0-1 Town - Match Report
at 16:02:53

Walk_the _Walk. "looking at the bigger picture" means exactly that, and, in my opinion, you are not. Have you conveniently forgotten to look at what's staring you in the face when you look at the bigger picture ? This current achievement has been done for 10k. In the real bigger picture of the premiership, should we get there, is a multi million pound windfall and a very happy multi million pound owner. If you think that someone of MM's calibre and experience will operate with the same parameters as you seem to think he will when / if we get to the premiership, as he is now, then may I suggest you go to "spec-savers" so you can see the real "bigger picture" I hope you don't mind me "putting you right" as you did with @Langdon. Enjoy the footy :)

Mings Signs New Deal

Well mentioned Dolly. I wondered if anyone would remember that about him as well as his footy ability. ITFC need to nurture him well. Could be a massive asstet in more way's than one for Town.

That's all right, SamWhiteUK, they'll probably cover more yard's in one game wearing it than Priskin did in his time with us!! All kit greatly received :)

Ticket Promotion at Hull Match
at 13:28:48

Got 2 ticket's for the North Stand Upper. Great. Get to sit next to my season ticket holder mate. That seat is always empty. ( he must change his deodorant ) and me and my son fill 2 seat's that would otherwise be empty. I would LOVE to see every Town home game but I work Some Saturday's and my son is at Uni. So, a perfect opportunity for both of us.
When I have been this season I have to pay a whopping £30 to £35 for a seat. Cant afford that every home game. Earlier on here a season ticket holder ( "Paulc" ) said there's no incentive for the S.T. holder's. Oh yes there is. 1. Your're free to go to most home games as you don't work Sat's. 2. The cost of you season ticket divided by the home games mean's you get the seats at a discounted rate. 3. You get first choice of seats before the season start's.
If the progress continues under McCarthy ( currently 4th in the league since his appt ) then extra bum's on seats may, using "Paulc" parlance, incentivise new bum's to buy a season ticket.
By the way, the first 2 games I attended were both 0-3 home defeat's. THAT was a huge dis-incentive for me to go again ( the people next to me thought I was jinx!) However I forced my self to go again and we won 1-0 against Bolton, so I'm looking forward to hopefully a great game, a great result, a great crowd at a great price!!

Cresswell in Team of the Week
at 12:32:57

What value then on the TWTD player rating's?! According to us he was our second worst player on the day. Do we all watch the same game?
Has to be said though, that on his day he can be as good as anyone in the championship and can be a mean crosser of the ball.

Holland Backs Appointment But Hasn't Spoken to Old Boss
at 12:25:51

MARCUS STEWART :-

Former Ipswich striker, who played for McCarthy at Sunderland
"He will get respect instantly. He talks to you in the right manner and tone. You want to play for him straight away.

"What you see is what you get. He's fair and honest.

"I'm sure it's the right decision to appoint him.

"He's got fantastic experience. In the Championship he's got Wolves and Sunderland promoted.

"Over the course of the season they will improve under him and improve even further next season."

Town Aiming to Take Over at Top
at 17:28:04

HA, HA HA HA. HA, HA HA HA.
I think the players need the reality check as well if they thought that the first 2 results were a yardstick with which to measure their next few performances. Why can't they just shut up and talk with their feet instead of their arses.

Orient Yet to Receive Porter Enquiry
at 22:17:18

SuffolkNClose.

I noted your derogatory comment's about this player yesterday but decided not to rise to the bait. However as you insist....!
I presume you have seen him play on a number of occasion's to arrive at this qualified opinion....? I thought as much!
As an Orient and Town supporter I would be sad to see him leave the O's at this stage of his career as the confidence he gain's from every start with the O's is obvious. He does have some limitation's but at 19 who doesn't. You appear to have plenty!
This guy IMO, has excellent potential to step up a league and keep improving. He is the type of player who, at his age, will profit from playing with better player's around him. I hope Town give him a trial or on loan with a view to purchase. Then again, I want Orient to keep him, because he will only get better without a doubt, and the crowd, all 4,000 of 'em will miss the buzz of expectancy when he's on the ball.
Rubbish....yes you are. Your post's prove it.

Cresswell to Get New Deal
at 13:09:30

J.E.T. Take note! .....and not a musical one either! Commitment to the cause you are being paid for. Get fit, concentrate on your footy not rappy. Methink's Jewell is gooner come down on you like a ton of brick's soon if the fan's don't first.
Cresswell deserves his brownie point's. I just hope that now he get's paid more than you.

Edwards Pleads Guilty
at 11:59:41

Let's hope Addenbrooke's can do the business for the family. Being born that early and only 2lbs in weight will present big problem's. Some survive, some don't, and in this case there's 2 to deal with. Yep, he should have been more sensible before, but are any of us perfect? In the eye's of his 2 children let's hope he is perfect for them, as they are to him.
Good luck to the family.

Entire Squad and Staff Visited Ablett After Opening Day Boro Win

Roy Keane is like many. Only bad press get's prolonged coverage. Good news doesn't sell.
He's confident enough in his own ability and personality not to need the endorsement of the press and small minded to confirm it for him. He could probably do with listening to other's a bit , but hey...whose perfect?
Great gesture, and there's probably much more of that about him than folk's realise.

Jewell: Leeds Will Feel Hard Done By

Mmm, pmason. A terrible game.
A crap Leeds team.
Would have beaten us if they'd had 11 player's.

I was going to agree with one of your point's there!! Sorry to disappoint. But why put yourself through this? I can see the black cloud's above where you live from here. Try supporting Beach Volleyball. I'm a miserable bastard but even that bring's a smile to my face and makes me stand to attention! :)
I think Mr P. Mason, you need a good seeing to by your secretary, the lovely Della. She was always good at raising a smile and a few other thing's at the end of one of your cases!! FFS GET A LIFE !!!

Bullard Signs Two-Year Deal
at 11:16:37

Woh, woh woh... TWTD site is crashing, member's are having "semi's", pessimist's are suddenly becoming optimist's!!!.......His performance related euphoria is all to do with the past. You all sound like our tabloid press. If he doesn't live up to your expectation, or the team doesn't rise phoenix like from the ashes, he'll get the blame. It is exceptional that he has joined considering what he could have done. He obviously believe's in PJ and ITFC and the future. In 2 years he COULD be a legend, soon to become manager. But welcome him yes, but to get as orgasmic as this when he hasn't even kicked a ball this season ......Phew....I'm waiting for the fall....that I hope doesn't happen.
COYB!!!!!

O\'Connor May Have to Move On
at 09:26:24

Beggar's belief really! Whenever I or my son or his mates have seen him play he always catches the eye with his infectious mood, attitude and general all round ability. Always disapointed when not in the team let alone the squad. Realy would be good to know WHY he doesn't even appear to be "knocing on the door" atm.
Can think of a few players in the current squad I'd show the door, to open the door for O'Connor

McCall Watches Leyton Orient-Peterborough
at 09:44:27

Yep, one or two O's player's are getting better under the guidance of top manger Russel Slade. What he has done with that team this year is remarkable. Young Harry Kane ,on loan from Spurs, is one to look for in the future. But I'm not sure that any other's would fit bill at Town atm. But a good team to watch these day's. You never know what's gonna happen! But MS from Posh would be the only one from the game on Friday. I don't think anyone had the class needed for "holding mid-fielder" the PJ need's. Any way, I though we had Luke Hyam? What did he do wrong at the beginning of the season? One of Town's best player's at that time and when Town's form was good-ish. Use him again now PJ!
