Town Granted Permission to Speak to Hurst
at 10:53:47

Fingers crossed that ME gets his man. Mick has left a decent squad to start with, Bart being the key man. Hopefully the new manager will play more entertaining football and go out to WIN rather than not to loose. COYB!!!

Town Will Have to Wait on Hurst
at 14:38:52

I'd be more than happy with Hurst or Ross, although they would probably just view Town as a stepping stone to help them move to an established Premiership club magic roundabout due to the lack of investment from the owner.

I really admire Burley's style of management, Ipswich should have stuck with him longer than they did as I believe he would have turned it around and he would have learned a lot from the experience too. A lot of managers stick with what they know and bring in players from previous clubs and work with the same backroom staff over and over again which ultimately fails and continues to fail. If I recall correctly, Burley always took a completely fresh approach with sides he managed. As long as his head's in the right place, I think he'd be a wise choice to bring back some good times to this great club again!! Leave Butcher out as I don't think that would work at all, Kuqi, Holland or Taricco would be better assistant managers in my opinion.

Hopefully Marcus will get his first choice manager(s) in and next season will be one to remember for the right reasons. COYB!

Bristol City 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 15:54:43

The last time I recall feeling this disconnected from my beloved team was when John Duncan was in charge. I just feel numb now whether we win, lose or draw - the buck stops with Mick and he's got to go soon giving a new manager a chance to make some changes during the January transfer window.

I was at Ashton Gate on Saturday in the away end with my friend who supports City and he couldn't believe how "DULL" the game was, it was no surprise to me though. City had lost 4 games in a row and they looked rather lightweight for a championship team. Ipswich of old would have brushed them aside with ease. Mick could have played a more attack minded side but it looked like the team was set up for a 0-0 draw for the full 90+ minutes.

I've been to Ashton Gate a few times but each time I've been it's changed beyond all recollection this time was no different with 2 ends completely rebuilt. I know they don't own their ground but they've done a good job with the new stands and the fan zone atmosphere was good with some live music and some good beer and food.

I thought Bart, Webster and Laurence played well enough. Bart had no chance with either of the goals, the 2nd was a peach and brightened up a dull contest!

There's only one MM!

Micky Mellon could learn a thing or two watching how the real MM deals with the media.

It's Magic you know - Ipswich and Norwich don't go...
