As the only Town fan in a Camden pub today I silenced all the Gooners in there watching the WBA v Arsenal match with my yell of delight as Hunt scored. Such a fantastic moment, I'm still grinning ear to ear! |

Great win, despite the nervy 10 minutes at the end. Think the not celebrating against old clubs comes down to the player and club in question and the relationship between the two. Don't think it would be a big deal for Sammon to celebrate against Wigan, whereas I can see why Lampard didn't celebrate against Chelsea. |

I can see us coming in at 8th, 9th or 10th - as long as we improve on last season, both in league position and quality of football, then I think that's a success. That kind of position, along with good transfer dealings next summer, will hopefully have us as real play-off contenders in 2012/13. I think West Ham and Leicester will be the top two with Peterborough, Coventry and Doncaster getting relegated. |

Churchmans - when I was talking about "idiocy, contempt and nastiness" I was talking generally about the negative things that happen in football - and there is a long list of idiotic, contemptuous and nasty things that have happened in football, though they by no means define the sport. These things happen largely due to the attitudes of SOME (but by no means all) players, chairmen, owners, managers, fans etc and that get far more attention than when good things happen, or people just get on. It was not a specific dig at Ipswich Town fans, the club or any individuals. |

Best of luck Luca! A real shame it didn't work out for him here, he looked real quality and it's such a shame that this injury ruined his Town career. Also I think it's good that it all got sorted out so amicably and with respect on both sides. Such things do happen in football and it's a nice antidote to all the idiocy, contempt and nastiness that gets far more attention. |
