There's a few things going around so I'm not reading anymore into it than what it states. I think the balance of the pre-season has been right, a couple of more competetive scenarios early on followed up with games that should give us a guage of where we stand.
I think people are going over the top on the transfer front, yes many sides have signed players but I would rather have players in on a year long loan that are proven to have greater ability than risk money on players that might do ok. We could always buy them if we got promoted.
This league is all about consistancy, there are always a couple that run away with it and a couple of no hopers but other than that I feel it is wide open. If we start well and getting a winning mentality then I will be optimistic in our chances for a top 6 (with potential of attracting more players in January), however if we don't start well then I see us plummiting and Keane out on his ear by then end of October. |

Well I wouldn't want it..I fear the start of the season, morale is low in this club and currently there are no positives other than a couple of promosing youngsters...in the current climate I bet the thoughts are crossing Wickhams mind, what would it be like at Spurs/Arsenal??

I think chopra is a good signing but I wouldn't expect to see anything else happen until more players have left. I don't believe Evans wants to put in a lot more cash. Keane will therefore have to be shrewd in who he gets at full back, which makes me wonder if he will really improve on david wright? Pablo will have to go, I dnt think we should totally disregard the likes of priskin and martin as they are still young and could still deliver! |

Yes I am with the conensus that this would be good news, he has the ability but I feel he only has the desire to win a contract, once he has it he won't be bothered where his team are!
Hopefully someone else will come in for Lisbie, things on the colchester front will slow down due to AB going to Coventry,
That still leaves Counago, Priskin and Stead to sort out. I think if we have Wickham, Priskin, Counago and a new signing of superioir quality that will not be bad, although I fear Wickham will only be with us on loan (would love to keep him), Evans won't let £5m go, I would say he is too greedy and too much of a businesman. |

IMO it just asks too much of the 2 wide players on a regular basis, i would rather see a 4-3-1-2 with maybe walters behind the front two to hold the ball up, win the aerial stuff. As for ambrose I dont think he would be the same player for us now, i think this guy from spurs sounds a good shout, and I'd like to see how kerry baptiste does on trial (rather hav him for last minute desparation than waste money on likes of priskin!) However we can speculate all summer long, just hope Mr Keane gets it right! He barely has until Xmas |

Whatever combination we get in the centre of midfield Keane must stick with it, i think derry would be good but keane must then decide if he's to partner leadbitter or norris. However, we desperately need (as all have mentioned) a quality striker and a wideman who when he picks up the ball the crowd are instantly lifted, a player we haven't had in years - ala peralta, reuser, even finidi!!
