I certainly cant see Chops, Murphy or Scotland ever matching that, although Scotland never really gets a proper spell in the team. I think we should pull all the stops for DJ. Well I've been to nearly 4 games this season and had every plan of making it 5 against Cardiff this Saturday. Times are hard, and people need incentive to spend lots of money on football games. The ticket trial was introduced and all of a sudden you get fans through the door. Why should football be so out of reach for fans, especially for a family of 3-5 people, that's about 70 - 80 quid. So to say where were the fans when we were s*it? That wasn't a bad turnout Saturday for a team who's best realistic target is mid table or just above. Not to mention they have only won 2 on the bounce. Offer games at decent prices, you get fans through the door. Simples |

I wont be able to make the replay if its midweek which will likely be the case. I don't think its asking much for at LEAST 50% off a game that i can attend. I took my dad along who hasn't been in 35 years because hes not really an avid fan of football like myself, and he said he was really getting into it. So there is a chance he would like to go again, should the club handle this in a decent manner. I'm not asking for 'charity', only what i think would be a fair compromise. |

@sitfcb - I cant make the re-arranged game if its midweek! I paid for my ticket and i have nothing now. Why cant i have half price off a ticket to a game i CAN go to? I might be an idiot now, but i wont be the idiot when i tell the club they can stick their £31 up their @rse the next Saturday i get off work. I dont think the Donny faithful are happy about this comment from our forum which i have just read via theirs...

Many town fans will be thinking Billy has been won over by the touching gestures, and to be fair they will possibly work in our favour if the move comes down to him one day, but i would like to speak on behalf of the majority of our supporters that we DID applaud to show respect to Billy at this sad time, and not simply to sell the club to him.
I am with the previous posts above when i say i am proud to be a town fan, and i think respect for the game and everyone in it is Ipswich Town. |

I think the team needs to scrap this one up front lark, get Priskin, or Ellington up there with Chops and JET playing behind the two (Yes i believe if Ellington gets games he will eventually get going). I dont know about the midfield though with that set up, but i know that JET looked like he was lost on that flank and should be moved to the middle. Stockdale looks class and will win us games saving us from our cliche defending. I felt sorry for chops at the weekend, hes being asked too much on his own up front. If there is someone else up front causing problems with him too, then he will have more chances to get into the areas he needs to. Hes being marked well, and there is nobody with him to perhaps take the heat off. |

h32 - When i say months, i mean 2 or 3 and i dont mean lose every game on the trot, i just dont expect them to be consistent that fast. Look at teams like Palace and Sunderland in years gone by, bottom of the league at Xmas, then in the prem the next season. Like i say i would love to see them start well, but people on here need patience and realistic thinking. It was hard to watch what Keane done to us last season, and i dont think the team have totally bounced back from that yet. They are much better prepared for this season though, they just need time now. Im sure PJ is the man to take us to the promise land! |

I cant believe the amount of moaning on this site tonight about the players being poor, there are seven new faces in the team, give them a chance. I hope they do hit the ground running when the season starts, but im not expecting it. It could take a few months for them to 'gel', thats the way it goes. I would be happy with a play off place this season. I would be delighted with a top two finish, but its unfair to expect a group of new signings to accomplish this straight away. |
