| News Comment | McCarthy Frustrated By Current Position at 10:09:50
Christ, we don't half have a lot of football-managers-in-the-making on this site. Seriously, how can we as fans question what Mick has done here? To suggest that we should ask questions of him should we finish 7th is nothing short of ridiculous. Norwich have had £84,000,000 of money from the league/TV in 4 years, we have had £4,000,000. That right there is the difference. And we are doing it properly. And the academy is finally producing the goods again. We will finish up there. While I personally would go back to a 433 with Ando Skuse and Bishop as the middle three, I will not complain about how we line up, and unlike some here, will actually back and support the manager and team rather than barrack it |

Walberswicks - would that be the same bucket we found Murphy, McGoldrick, Berra, Chambers, Skuse, Gerken, Tabb and Anderson in? As well as Ambrose, Steven Hunt, and Noel Hunt? |
| News Comment | Quiet Deadline Day Expected at 13:28:13
Some on here are footballing illiterates. Here it is in Lehmans terms - WE. CANNOT. COMPETE. FINANCIALLY. WITH. THE. TEAMS. AROUND US. IN ANY. WAY. OR. SHAPE. OR. FORM Let the people at the top get on with it. Also I'm pretty sure we don't have 8 games in 4 weeks as I am sure there is an international break somewhere around, though I could be mistaken. People. Our window ends at the end of March. Things will be sorted. Let Mick and Marcus do what they can. |
| Blog Comment | Disappointing Result, But Can Some of Us Drop the Sense of Entitlement? at 08:21:58
I agree with this wholely, and have myself been picked up by some when I have said this. It is annoying that some still seem to think that we are like how we once were, and should be winning every game with pretty football. I hate it when people, even after a very good result, still moan about McCarthy's style, or that we didn't win by more. I also agree that we shouldn't arrive each time at Portman Road with a sense of entitlement. As well as this, some moan that we have a small squad. While it would be nicer to have a bigger one, some do not understand that we simply do not have the budget to have a squad as big as Derby or Middlesbrough |
| News Comment | Hunt Delighted to Team Up With Murph at 13:06:53
LondonBen/Kirbmeister We must play Barcelona-style football and beat everyone 6-0 and spend loads of money to be satisfactory, did you not know that? How dare you say that a squad which has had only 110,000 spent on it is doing very well and over achieving! |
| News Comment | Kenny to Feature for U21s at 19:04:48
As good as Jonny is, I don't think he pulled too many trees up here this time around. I would rather us use Bishop, and and spend the wage money elsewhere |
| News Comment | Kenny to Feature for U21s at 16:56:30
Hegansheroes, are you some sort of idiot? Anderson, for me, has been very good this season, has played a big part in our success, and Tabb has been different class. Yes, we should have gone top at Brighton, but Bournemouth 'should' have beaten Leeds, and lost. Hard work has been the reason we are where we are. Yes, it can be argued that we have been a LITTLE short on quality AT TIMES this season, but everyone in the division can and will say that. Some things just aren't good enough for some |
| News Comment | Bin the Finn, It's the Way to Win - Notes for Brighton at 10:34:05
....don't we use 4-4-2? And don't Burnley? 2-0 Town, Murph to end his wee goal drought. Great piece Harry, though this is normal service. Incidentally, I would go 4-4-2, normal back 5, start Skuse if we can, and rest Tabb or S Hunt. Just what I would do, mind |
| News Comment | McCarthy a Long-Time Sears Fan at 21:43:52
Blueboy - that "joke" midfield wasn't one when Cole Skuse and fully fit Jay Tabb and Teddy Bishop were in it. Keeper needed before a Williams type player (which Bishop is anyway) |
| News Comment | Former Blue Price Could Return at 13:57:56
Wish the negative pillocks would leave it out. This might be to the end of the season, so when Gerken gets back, Crowe goes out on loan yo get that experience. Just go with it. This ain't Keane or Jewell times, remember |
| News Comment | Sears Switch Confirmed at 13:52:55
As I said after the Southampton match, let him manage the club, and good things will happen Happy with this, a wide option as well as a forward one |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Skusey's So Important at 07:11:19
Always rated Skuse, me, his work is the type of work that is only noticed once it stops getting done. Derby and Southampton are prime examples of this |
| News Comment | Town 0-1 Southampton - Match Report at 00:37:22
Some of these are laughable, get a grip. We could be top with a £10k team on Saturday and yet all of a sudden we have no midfield. Sorry Kirbmeister, was meant to plus your comment rather than minus it |
| News Comment | Town 0-1 Southampton - Match Report at 23:45:52
Ah, I see the football illiterates have come out. Right, 1 - not the best performance but still gave them a good game 2 - we have until March to add to it all, not January. 3 - Today showed just how much we miss the energy Tabb and Ando gives us as well as the class that Skuse does 4 - Hyam isn't that bad a player, just has had a few off days. Get off his back And 5 - If you lot all knew so, so much more than Mick, as you seem to show on here, why the hell aren't you a top manager achieving with such a small budget in a league as competitive as this? Shut up and let him get on with it all |
| News Comment | McCarthy Delighted to Please Big Crowd at 08:34:23
We weren't poor, but we weren't outstanding, which, to me, makes that win all the better. If we had have fired on all cylinders imagine what we would have done to them |
| News Comment | St Ledger Leaves Town at 14:48:50
Not bothered by this really. Little lost, always worth a look, as with Collison. Better to have Clarke and Hewitt if he is no better, as they are younger and will develop Luke Bishop, if managed carefully |
| News Comment | Merry Christmas Mick and Terry! at 17:44:01
I knew there would be some negativity here from some idiots. Its piss all to do with money, its more the gesture, and appreciation. As well as this, it has helped some charities/organisations, who were also, no doubt, just as grateful. I think its fantastic, shows just how happy we as fans (on the whole, anyway) are with the work being done |
