McCarthy Speculation Continues in Irish Press
at 08:07:38

If Mick goes I'll be hoping that Tony Mowbray and Mark Venus take over. Having a former skipper at the club who played under Burley would be really positive.
Burley played under the best manager ever in Sir Bobby and George had a legendary spell as our manager.
Who's to say that the same thing might happen with Mowbray?
Last three managers had no prior connection with Town and haven't got us promoted, time to try someone who is town through and through.

Appleton Confirms Orr Will Return to Blackburn
at 07:17:31

To be fair to Appleton when the sh#* hit the fan at Portsmouth he did a sterling job.

And if we are honest we'd all be tempted to move jobs if we were likely to double our wages elsewhere.

As for loyalty - he was loyal at Portsmouth and given what happened to Adkins at Soton football managers probably have to be a bit more pragmatic about the concept of loyalty than supporters.

Disappointed to loss Orr but excited to see how Hewitt does,

Keane: Poor Decision-Making Let Us Down
at 17:33:19

I don't think that its fair to accuse Keane of being greedy for not resigning.
He has said in the past that he doesn't need the money and would get a job elsewhere without any difficulty.
The reason he won't resign is that he is proud and clearly genuinely believes he can turn it round.
He has made plenty of mistakes but his defenders really let him down today. I know its Christmas but there were some really panto moments, all together now 'he's behind you...'.
If he does get the sack i'd prefer someone with a connection to Town. Butcher is doing a great job at Inverness CT at the moment - he'd walk over broken glass from Scotland to have the chance to manage Town.

Keane Hopes to Be Handed Walters Cash
at 12:31:06

Keane ought to show a bit more respect for his colleagues (& bosses) at the club. Clegg and Evans don't publically ridicule Keane when his side have poor results or when Keane alienates squad members thereby potentially reducing their market value and causing unrest in at the club.
Keane has one year left on his contract - if Evans finds himself having to choose between Clegg and Keane who do you think he'll go for?
A couple of poor results which Keane then publically lays the blame for at Clegg door could see this situation come to a head.
Isn't this very similar to what happened at Sunderland?

Scotland Unbelievably Close to Ipswich?
at 11:09:48

Sounds like a GCSE Geography question. The answer is no but you get extra marks for showing your workings.

Ian Marshall was hardly was this sort of age when he joined & he did a great job for us. Scotland is a decent player with a good record. I'd prefer Scotland to an overpriced Chopra to be honest.

Town Set to Complete Fülöp Move
at 09:05:01

Fryatt is a great option. Chopra strikes me as overpriced and a bit flakey. If the main reason he is interested in a move to Town is RK, what happens if Keane leaves? He'll be after another move and we'll get stung having paid over the odds for him.

Keane Frustrated at Failure to Land Signings
at 13:37:34

This isn't a clever way for Keane to communicate his dissatisfaction with how he feels transfers are being handled by the club.
Firstly, the club clearly want to reduce the squad before investing further.
Secondly, Keane's judgement in the transfer Market can't be described as flawless.
Finally, given that we were very disappointing last year and ME has so far stood by the manager Keane's comment smack of disloyalty and petulant.
Given Keane's history, It sounds like an exit strategy from Keane along the lines of the club not matching his ambitions.

Renewed Speculation On Keane\'s Future
at 07:48:00

Sounds like rubbish to me. However, If it turns out to be true, whether you believe Keane is the right man for the job or not, it calls into question how Evans & Clegg are running the club. If they wanted to make this change it would have happened a few weeks ago. If we have a poor start to the season I reckon Keane will walk out by Xmas anyway. Until then let's get behind him & the team.

Town Confirm Wright Out for Four Months
at 18:29:27

Watford are in a bit of financial difficulty. They need to find over £5m to continue operating until the end of the season.

We might get the U21 international keeper Scott Loach at a decent fee if they need to raise funds.

Just a thought

Keane: We Deserved the Win
at 21:00:31

Really great result.
Garvan's made a telling contribution with both assists and two of our front men have got the goals.
All we need to do is keep the momentum going, turning the home draws into wins and picking up points away.
With Norris & Civelli coming back in the coming weeks we'll have more options.
Another transfer window in January will allow Keane to get rid if some surplus fringe players.
Really pleased about the win and really proud of the majority of fans who have kept the faith in the manager when a lot of people might have expected us to become restless.
We might still be in with a shout of a playoff place if we keep our run going.
Come on the blues!!

Keane Yet to Decide Whether to Start John at Cardiff
at 13:41:42

If Pablo & Keane did have a bust up, I wonder how that would have gone? Rather than a 'tweaked muscle' I think they'd still be picking up pieces of Pablo from the training ground & surrounding neighbourhood!

Keane Refuses to Be Drawn on Shittu

To be fair, RK said that he aimed to get us promoted within two years.

Its a bit early to be panicking.
