| News Comment | Lambert: We Have to Learn From Last Season at 10:37:10
Whilst I agree with you Skip that Lambert needs to put his hands up and admit to all the mistakes he made last year (rotating goalkeepers, shoe horning Judge into a team when he didn't fit anywhere, postponing games unnecessarily etc etc) I would suggest that the team weren't doing 'very well' at the start, they were getting by in a very poor league. |
| News Comment | Drinan Returns From Waterford Loan at 19:54:36
I'm not sure what sort of level Waterford is, but having checked their Facebook supporters page they seem to genuinely think he'll be missed. Wonder if Lambert does actually want to have a look at him or whether he's being moved on. |
| News Comment | Celtic Linked With £500,000-Rated Crowe at 10:36:56
All the other youngsters offered counteracts signed them without question from what I remember, so it's not as if we've offered him something insulting. Sounds like his head is too big for his boots, his agent or his parents are to blame no doubt. If he'd rather join Benyu in football-non-existence for a few extra quid in his pocket then he's no loss to us. |
| News Comment | Hull Linked With Blues Winger Edwards at 16:40:06
If we play a diamond with two up front (like most people seem to agree suits our squad) I'm not sure exactly where Edwards fits in to that. |
| News Comment | Town to Announce Retained List Next Week at 20:06:39
In the seven seasons before joining us Adeyemi had played at least 20 games in every one, whoever he played for. At Rotherham he scored 7 goals from midfield in a side that got relegated. Really frustrates me that we've seen none of that as I genuinely think he'd be a decent player for us. |
| News Comment | Quaner: You're Seeing the Best of Me at 11:26:40
I think I'd prefer him out wide in a Walters-esque role. Not clinical enough in front of goal but big and quick enough to be a very handy 'out ball'. Can't see him being here next year though anyway. |
| News Comment | Judge: I'm a Number Ten at 16:12:59
Good. Maybe this will allow Keane to play up front and Quanar out wide so at least some of Gerken's goal kicks don't come straight back at us! Hoping you can get back to the player you were Judge and start ripping teams apart like you used to do to us! |
| News Comment | [Updated] Collins Set to Sign on Friday at 14:42:40
Good! We could do with a De Vos, McAuley, Matt Elliot type signing. Let's hope he has an impact anywhere near any of those aging centre backs we got in. |
| News Comment | Bournemouth, Brighton and Palace Linked With Dozzell at 10:28:41
"Why are we so lenient with prices???" Probably because when the likes of Norwich and Derby sell their good young players they have proven themselves by having one or two good/full seasons at this level I guess. Dozzell has made how many appearances for us... 20, if that? He may well be part of the England youth set up, but think he needs to prove himself at this level first before we go asking £20m for him. That said, would LOVE to see a home grown talent get to that sort of standard. |
| News Comment | Lambert: Club Needs to Be Rebuilt, Some Players Will Go at 18:25:52
I've got a lot of time for Lambert, and I hope he stays long after the end of this season. But, he made his first big mistake today as Town manager for me... We needed two up front, from the start, and to have taken the game to a shaky Accrington side. Take responsibility for that one Paul. |
| News Comment | Town Confirm Keane Loan Signing at 12:57:38
Welcome to the club Will, get used to some people critising you who have no idea who you are, and writing you off before you've kicked a ball! For those questioning his ability due to his goal scoring record, Daryl Murphy scored 14 goals in nearly 120 games in this country before joining us. He didn't turn out too bad. Hopefully you can bring a much needed physical presence, first touch, movement and hold up play to this side to build from. |
| News Comment | Bishop, Harrison and Lankester Start Against Millwall at 14:36:32
That's probably the strongest side we can put out (minus Bart), so I'm optimistic! But it's an incredibly young side, I'm not sure I'd fancy our chances holding on to a 1-0 lead with 10 minutes to go. |
| News Comment | Three Changes as Blues Face Blades at 14:32:01
Happy to see Harrison back in, he'll hopefully offer us more of a treat up top. Hope it doesn't turn into a midfield scrap though as I can't see our boys winning that, we look a bit light weight. |
