Bullard was first class today. Have to agree with comments about Jewell and Hutchings on the sidelines encouraging the team forward. Far better than seeing Keane sat in the dug out doing nothing.

If we keep hold of Norris, we will have some competition for midfield. I also think we should do our best to keep hold of McAuley as well. Sounds like they both want to stay.

The current squad is more than good enough for this league. They just need the confidence that hopefully Jewell will instill in them to play decent flowing football again.
I don't believe panic buys now will help. Let Jewell rebuild the squad in the summer when the price of players will be more realistic and he has a better idea of who he wants and who he doesn't want to keep. |

Not worth £2.5m. Personally think we have players as good as him already.
Not sure how many times he's played for Preston this term but they are not exactly flying are they!!! |

Too be honest I don't think we have missed out by not signing Austin.
I live in Swindon and have seen him play a few times. True he knows where the net is, but some of the defences in league 1 are bloody awful. He may struggle in the Championship, he may not. Time will tell.
Plus you cannot blame him, if I went for two job interviews and one offered £6k a week and the other £12k a week, I think I know which one I would choose. |
