Some talk of 'journeyman' footballers not being up to it. If I remember correctly that is exactly what Alf Ramsey assembled when he took charge at Portman Road. No need to remind people about what he achieved - journeyman footballers taking on and beating the likes of AC Milan, when Italy probably had the best league in Europe at the time. Does suggest that the real concern must be around the 'journeyman' management team and ownership. It appears to me watching the Lincoln match that some half decent footballers, judging by some glimpses of ability around the team, are completely lacking in direction as a team and as individuals. How many of them have arrived at Portman Road in recent times and gone backwards as players? ...mmmmmm
