Unfortunately, MM is too stubborn to realise that Tommy Smith is very lacking in confidence at the moment. He was at fault for goals we conceded today and that has been the case since the 1-0 defeat to Derby in Jan. Then there are the regular starters of Tabb and Skuse who are both very average at best. Parr needs to be played at RB, not at RM, yet still gets played as a wide man despite the fact our defence has been very shaky over the last 2 months, and we still play with this "attacking wing backs" approach, which as today has shown once again, does not work.
And unlike Derby, we didn't think to ourselves we are in a very good position let's get another couple of class signings in for the remainder of the season and really go for it, instead we bring in Varney who can't make the Blackburn team on an emergency loan. I'm not being gloomy as we have had a very good season but we have bottled it at such a crucial stage of the season. Midfield is almost non existent, defence is so poor despite setting up with 5 at the back like every game and still Tabb gets in the team despite contributing the square root of FA all season, but of course MM knows best about "class Tabby"! |

Am I the only one that thinks Jay Tabb is one of the worst players to play at the club for a very long time? He was slow, weak and gave no cover whatsoever to Mings when he decided to get forward today and against Fulham. I'm not being negative as we've had a reasonable start to the season. However, whenever the two play together we get ruined down the left hand side and teams have sussed this out. Once again this has cost us! Why didn't we put Henshall on, the game was crying out for a bit of pace to get at Reading, yet Tabb was replaced by Bajner (one of three giants we had on the pitch) with 10 minutes to go. MM please realise he's useless. Start Anderson who was very good today when he came on, if you think that Henshall "will give too many penalties away". |

Yet we still keep Tabb and Nouble! At least Taylor had a bit of flair about him which a run in the team would only improve. He'll go out on loan, as no team is going to pay for him, and we'll continue to pay a percentage of his wages. What a waste. |

In all seriousness why is Jay Tabb still at the club? Would much rather play Teddy Bishop, a young hungry exciting player, especially against West Ham, rather than Tabb who literally offers nothing at all! Surely Bru is worth more of a contract than Tabb! |
