Chelsea Look Away From McKenna
at 15:53:10

@warfarinman69 what precisely do you say Kieran hasn't handled well? Almost everything is based on media speculation. There hasn't yet been an attributable quote referenced - everything is based on anonymous 'sources' or 'someone close to the club'. How more obfuscated could it be?

There is currently no evidence yet that Kieran is courting other opportunities, and it's not for him to respond to every rumour and speculative article in the press.

In fact none of the parties involved have said anything - not Man U, Brighton, Chelsea or Town. It's all based on media 'understanding'.

Chelsea Look Away From McKenna
at 11:16:41

Another day, and another repeat of some fans jumping to conclusion and speculating. There is no evidence that Kieran's agent is promoting a move, rather than engaging with clubs that have enquired as to his availability.

If this is what has happened, then he would be foolish not to hear what they have to say. As I posted in the forum, this is no different than how head hunting operates in any business' recruitment.

Wait for the facts before making accusations. If it becomes clear that it was a self-promoted, that is the time to be critical, but if it was reactive to enquiries from third parties, a lot of people need to be eating humble pie.

@kizaitfc Oh I agree, it will undoubtedly be discussed at length ;-)

Schwartz Flies Over For Talks With Ashton and McKenna

Let's also not speculate or jump to conclusions.

The fact is Schwartz flew to the UK and met with Ashton (there is photographic evidence ;-) )

What we don't know is that he will meet with McKenna ('we understand' may or may not
be based on solid evidence, and could be considered hearsay for now) nor do we know what Ashston & Schwartz discussed.

It may have been an already scheduled meeting to discuss budgets and plans for the transition into the EPL (speculation on may part, but no less valid than other speculation). If it was a scheduled meeting to discuss this, then it's likely to have involved a meeting with McKenna anyway, therefore such a meeting (if it happens) proves nothing one way or the other.

We are outside observers (like the media are) with little solid knowledge or understanding of what is being discussed. Be patient and wait for official word from the club - only then will it be conclusive.

McKenna: Nothing Imminent But Work Continues
at 20:29:28

Amazing how many people are prejudging the season ONE match in !!! With some, the negativity is just incredibly. For the record, what Ashton was reported as saying :

CEO Mark Ashton says he expects Town to make two or three more signings at least during this transfer window with a few “down the line”.

The transfer window isn’t over yet, there is nothing about how advance or not negotiations were AND a strong indication that it wouldn’t be immediate. Don’t make of your own versions of what Ashton said ….

Bracknell Town 0-3 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:56:07

Job done tonight. We have 10 years of ghosts to erase, and we're doing them one by one. Victory live on TV, progression in the FA cup, etc

The sad thing is how some of our fans have ‘evolved' in that time. I was always proud of the fan base - they didn't suffer from the ‘entitlement' so many other clubs did. But now, so many entitled so called fans frequent this forum, believing the team should walk every game, and should have a gold plated path to the PM. These are the rose-tinted views one expects from teenagers ….

McKenna: Target Not Necessarily a Striker
at 19:57:48

Amazing how many people on here are arrogant enough to think they are better managers than McKenna. Difficult to understand why they're not managing an FL club!
