Please God no! If we're willing to pay AT LEAST 1.5 mill for this guy why did we put in a bid of 1.2 mill for Priskin??

A big target man is someone we need but the absolute priority must be a striker who doesnt go a month or 2 without getting a goal (Pablo) or plays amazing one game and average the next (Stead)!! There are better target men out there!

So did Keane mean 1 or 2 Strikers knowing Lisbie was off? Or might we be going for 2 or 3 now? I can't help but think he had always planned to get rid of him though...

Mackay Denies Priskin Bid

Billy Sharp would be a huge gamble IMO. He went from a 20-30 goal a season striker and joined the club he loves in Sheff Utd and it still didn't work out. In fact most Sheff Utd fans think worse of him than our fans do Lisbie. Either it was some cruel twist of fate or he just can't cut it at this level!

Priskin would be fantastic. Stead could get 15 goals a season probably, which might be enough for one quality striker?
