Follow the Sac Kings in the NBA and for the lesser games they do deals at just $10 including a drink and hotdog just to entice people to fill up the arena! They do this to create an atmosphere which in turn is known as the sixth man. Get the crowd rocking and the noise levels up and it really can win the game for the team. More i watch the way the NBA and how the draft is done and everything else, the more i fall out of love with how unfair football is. Maybe somehow the English could adopt how the americans bring sportsmen through the ranks from highschool through to pro level and intergrate it into the english football league. I'd say if they did that and had 30 pro level sports teams drafting young english players developed from 40 uni/college teams with our level of passion and coaching, then we would dominate international football within 10 years. Your big clubs would be the uniteds through to an Ipswich and your uni teams would be your Barnsleys. Outside of that you would have development teams which would be for players outside uni level and would consist of your Southends ect. Just a passing thought anyway |
