| Forum Reply | Do we want Nodge to win the play offs at 18:18 7 May 2024
Just don't care about them. They are an irrelevance to our journey. Whether they go up or stay on the Championship the result is the same. We are building. It's an exciting time to see what happens. Even if we were to be relegated next season, which I don't think will happen, we will be a stronger club moving forward towards adversity. Our future is currently bright. Enjoy it. 🤩 |

Presumably our pre-season friendlies will be a bit different this year with higher tier european clubs a possibility? A friendly with AZ Alkmaar would be awesome, or maybe we'll finally get that friendly with Lazio.. 🤣 |

We are Premier League, oh, we are Premier League! To further our closed season enjoyment, we get watch Farke and his Leeds side take on Norwich in the Play off semi. 😀 |

All those calls on their inferior forums to 'sack the board' and get rid of Delia. Surely, by their standards, they have had a pretty successful 15 years or so, yo-yoing the Prem under Delia's watch? I suppose having that time out of our shadow and into a bit dappled light has really put the zap on them. TBF they have had plenty of chances to build and consolidate in the Prem, but just haven't been able to do it so I can see the frustration, but they really do need to wind in the unfounded entitlement. |

Watch them sell off all the compulsory purchased land as fast as possible too. (Probably to mates at silly low prices) Then there will be no way of any future government resurrecting the Birmingham/Manchester section. Pillage and plunder. Scorched earth policies. |
| Forum Reply | Who do we want in next round of Carabao Cup? at 17:05 27 Sep 2023
How many years were we told "that cups don't matter" and "the league is our priority"? How things change! Doesn't matter who we get. Man City at home would be great, but maybe save them for the last 8. I'd like another prem team. They mostly put out reserves in this cup so I don't see them any more difficult than lower league teams. I would go further to say lower league teams have more incentive and may well fight harder. |
| Forum Reply | Was Brexit worth it? at 12:20 9 May 2023
It's eaten the Tory party, and shaken Labour so that may be a bonus if it means the end of FPTP and two party politics. If we transition to a new democractic process with Proportional Representation, coalition governments, cleaned up politics, HoL (second house) reform and then ultmately rejoining the single market, then it could be considered worth it. |

| Forum Reply | Ranking Town's worst managers at 19:03 9 Jan 2022
This is my order. 1. HURST 2. COOK 3. LAMBERT 4. JEWELL 5. KEANE Keane was at the begining of downward spiral, but ultimately Marcus Evans put us here. It's a results game. Cook ranks that high as he had the opportunty post ME to build something but he couldn't get a good group of players to play to their potential. His record is poor. Only exceeded by Hurst in ineptitude and tactical illiteracy. |
| Forum Reply | I do feel a little bit sorry for Paul Cook at 17:30 8 Jan 2022
You could see McGreal understanding the players and building them up. Giving them confidence and tactically aware. Glad he is still around the club. A good influence. It all seems to be coming together at last. Financial backing with an element of steel to not accept mediocrity. Adminstrative backroom getting in order. A decent set of players and a new manager who is both up with the the modern game but also tactically competent. Really feels like the ME poison has been lifted and there is a positive future, arresting the death of a thousand cuts that we have endured over the Evans era. |
| Forum Reply | Govt claiming it has hit it’s booster target - another Tory lie at 17:42 1 Jan 2022
The shortened target for boosters was announced in a hurry to get the 10 Downing St 'cheese and wine' parties off the front pages. It was an unrealistic target but served it's purpose. 'Offering' jabs is disingenuous. The uptake was always going to be difficult given the holiday period and it is typical political spin to claim success and defer blame on the population as the 'opportunity' was there. This is true enough. The 'opportunity' was available. That is all. |
| Forum Reply | This image makes me feel very comfortable about Kieran McKenna at 17:40 16 Dec 2021
Ooh. I love to see Magic back here. I could see that working if he is the steel backup KMK. Plus Magic knows how to beat Nodge, which his predecessors have failed miserably. As others have said, it would be a great bookend to mark the end of Marcus Evans destruction. |
| Forum Reply | Keiran McKenna is an incredibly risky appointment which I doubt will succeed at 17:31 16 Dec 2021
If he can get these players acting like a team and not soiling themselves on TV, then that will be a base to build on. I think most fans will give the guy time to clean up Cook's mess. Just need the players to respond and for us to see some cohesion and desire. I prefer this appointment to the totally uninspiring list of candidates that have been bandied about so far. |
| Forum Reply | McGreal - who’d be ok if he got the job? (n/t) at 09:39 12 Dec 2021
All the talk of management records and basing opinion of whether candidates for the role on that, hasn't really worked for us a previously. I was really quite impressed with JMG Wigan post match interview. He comes across as intelligent, tactically switched on and seems to understand that player don't need hours of pratice to kick a ball. What players need IMO is leadership and tactical cohesion. Is JMG the man to lead us onward? That can't be answered, but if he can get that squad playing like a team (which Cook couldn't even with his 'super' CV) and getting wins on the bounce then why bring someone else in? I think JMG needs a few more games so we can see for ourselves if the team are responding. No need to rush to get a new manager in IMO. If JMG gets us firing consistently then surely the question is: Why is he not the best candidate for us? Let's just see how Barrow goes on Wed. If we boss it, then JMG will be making his the case stronger. I'd like to see him and Dyer still in place over the POPR games TBH to give them a fair crack at it and see if they can get us moving forward for once. |
| Forum Reply | Mark Ashton at 18:05 7 Dec 2021
Jesus wept. Get a grip people and stop looking for ways to discredit or encourage negativity. So far Ashton has worked hard and improved things.(although to be honest that wasn't difficult) So what if he comes over as a bit of a helmet at times. If he continues to change the club for the better, then I have no issue with him and he is doing alright in my book. |
