If we do end up in the playoffs, at least we won't need to face Leeds (and their horrible fans) - I fancy us against any of the others, especially over two legs
If we get promoted would a carried over ban count in the PL? Leicester aren't getting deducted points this season because the EFL isn't the PL, so that would suggest a ban wouldn't / shouldn't carry over
Silk scarves Arriving 2 hours early to get a good spot Throwing toilet rolls The smell of cigarettes and chewing gum The alphabetical halftime scoreboard Scarves tied around wrists Lace up boots Lace up footballs Home made banners - felt-tip on a sheet
I was at the AS Roma v Atalanta game in Rome on Sunday, 1-1 60k Mourinho got sent off! Average game but cracking atmosphere. We were (accidentally) beside the Ultras - those guys are fanatical! On the way in we were searched and had to show our passports three times. But when we got to the stand, not one steward, people standing in the walkways - absolute crush, like the North stand in the old days! We ended up standing nowhere near our seat! Great experience though, anyone else go to European games?
I sit in the West stand, I noticed on Saturday that the grass where the subs run to warm up is looking decidedly muddy - not like the Baseball ground in the 70s but much worse than I would've expected for the new pitch.
The Texaco Cup final in 1973 - great memories. The original 5-0 in 1977 and the 1-0 win at carrot road later that season to go top of the league! We were in the Barclays with a six foot fence each side of a no-mans-land empty section, I remember jumping over the fence along with all the other Town fans, don't think I could do that now but it was fun at the time!
Like a few other it was 1 - 2 in 1972. Norwich's first season in the top league, we thought we'd hammer them, aged 14, I was devastated that we lost. Later that 72/73 season we beat them twice in the Texaco Cup final - wining the cup at carrot road, one of my top 5 games ever - On radio Suffolk last week Mick Mills said it was one of if not his favourite game ever!
