| News Comment | Chambers: Positive Results Will Come at 00:41:18
I am not sure that relegation would be a bad thing. It will end the stigma of being the longest running championship team. What they should do is accept that this is not our year, get rid of all the loan players and play our own youngsters for the rest of the season. If they get used to playing championship football for the rest of the season they will gell together and will be a force in league 1 next season. |
| News Comment | St Mirren Manager Ross Latest Boss Linked With Town at 15:25:29
I can't comment on Ross as I have never heard of him. What about Harry Redknapp? He said that Birmingham could have been his last job as manager after they sacked him but he might fancy one last Hurrah! I'd love to see him as Ipswich manager. Would also be happy with Burley back, but I don't think Mowbray would do any better than our last few managers. |

| News Comment | McCarthy: Webster Will Play in the Premier League at 23:05:03
I think some people need to give MM a break. We were in danger of going down to league 1 before he took over. In the last 2 seasons we have finished 6th and 7th and that was 7th without Bishop, Fraser and Murphy for most of season. If all 3 of them were fit all season we might have made top 2 let alone play offs. It was MM who brought the best out of Murphy by putting him into his favoured position when previous managers insisted on playing him out on the left. Ward and Webster appear to be great signings and Grant and Lawrence decent loans. Best and Varney may not be the greatest but time was running out and they have only got short deals until someone better is hopefully available. We have been robbed of 4 points this season in matches against Wolves and Norwich which would have put us well in contention. What would the boo boys be complaining about then I wonder? |
| News Comment | McCarthy Annoyed to Concede Late Penalty at 23:53:10
TractorCam - " Henshall will learn from his mistake and it will make him a better player as a result". Did you cut and paste that from the latest Football Manager game? It is almost word for word perfect for one of the answers to questions from the media after someone has made a mistake during the previous match....:-) |
| News Comment | Beattie Guilty of Benefit Fraud at 12:24:31
I can't see why so many people are sticking up for Kevin on this issue. Fraud is Fraud, end of! It doesn't matter if he is an ITFC Legend. He has committed benefit fraud and deserves everything he gets. Too many people think that benefit fraud is a victimless crime but they are wrong. It affects all of us who work for a living and pay taxes. If benefit fraud could be completely cut out it would solve the country's debt deficit in one go. I work in benefits and see what people try to get away with every day and it is disgusting. Kevin Beattie is no better than any of them. Claiming income support (according to another report I have read) for the last 2 years when he was receiving £45 from the BBC for weekend matches and £75 for weekday matches, not to mention the money he must be receiving for the sale of his books! Why are people refering his situation to Chopra's? Football has changed and it is now big money when it wasn't in the past. Thats life and it does not give Kevin an excuse to supplement his income by fraudulently claiming income support. He may be an ITFC legend (although I personally believe John Wark is more of a legend) but he has lost my respect. He is currently the honourary president of the North of England Supporters Club. Time for a change I think. Anyone know John Wark's number?? I hate benefit fraud.......Rant over! |

Just hope he doesn't go to Millwall. Our last home game of season. What's the betting he scores the goal that relegates us to League 1? |
| News Comment | Town Again Linked With St Ledger at 17:07:45
St Ledger would be a good buy, especially if we don't get a left back and Delaney is needed to fill in there for some matches. Shame about Danns going to Leicester. I was at the Ipswich v C Palace match near the end of season and even though we won the match he was by far the best player on the pitch! Would have made a good replacement for Norris. |
| News Comment | TWTD Poker Tournament #4 at 11:29:14
I'll try not to. In fact I doubt if I'll ever get that lucky again. By the way it is Royleblue not Royalblue. Chose the name when Joe Royle was boss. |

I don't believe it. I won the tournament. My first ever tourney win. Can't wait for the next one. |
| News Comment | Jewell Hopeful Wickham Will Stay at Town at 16:41:31
I think Spurs are looking to the future on this one. They know Connor has massive potential but at the moment he is not worth £15m. However, he turned 18 today and if Spurs want him long term it will be to their benefit to buy him now as he would be classed as a home grown player trained at the club for 3 years between 15-21, which they need at least 4 of for european competitions. ME should recognise this and use it to our advantage and squeeze as much out of them as possible! |

| News Comment | Liverpool and Spurs Again Linked With Wickham Moves at 17:18:49
As highly rated as Wickham is, at some point we may have to sell him. If Liverpool or Spurs are willing to pay £10m then it is a good deal, unless most of it is linked to appearances and internationals. ME should thrash out a deal with them for £10m up front payment with a first refusal loan option. We'll get £10m for him, get him back on loan for next 2 seasons and when he still is not good enough for Liverpool/Spurs we can buy him back on the cheap! Sorted! |
