| News Comment | Chambers: It's a Big Challenge But We're Getting Stronger at 07:59:11
Knowing the PR at ITFC, now is the time to send round a survey to see if 1/ Bluey is doing a good job 2/ The pies are the right price 3/ If the kit looks nice 4/ Shall we play Hey Jude etc and all that other peripheral garbage when all we want is success on the pitch. |

“As a starting point, what would you like to see included or improved at Portman Road that might add to the matchday experience? ..... Eeerrr! playing good football and winning games. I think this is far more important than live music and people dressed as animals!!!! I know I am old fashioned but watching the team win in the days of Holland, Stewart etc WAS the matchday experience. |

Oh well, will give Chopra somone to go clubbing with now that Jimmy has gone! |
| News Comment | Burley Leaves Apollon at 14:18:00
Why Not? Keane=signing useless washed up old Sunderland players. Jewell=signing useless washed up old Wigan players, so why not Burley signing up a load of washed up old Cypriot/Hearts players...........Maybe rubbish but a sort of international feel of rubbishness....................before you all start............I'm only joking!!!!!!!! |
| News Comment | Jewell: We\'re In There Fighting For Jimmy at 14:12:50
The players we buy seem to suffer from Sam Parkinitis. They come with a good reputation and just bomb out. Perhaps the fans are just too nice to them and should dish out more stick during a game. This ridiculous applauding when they manage two passes in our own half then pass back to the keeper seems to give them a cosy feeling of 'We are doing just enough to keep the fans happy' attitude. Even players who arrived with a certain urgency are just going through the motions ie. Leadbitter, Edwards etc. we have turned into a complacent one pace (which is slow!) side. I don't think I have ever seen Martin beat a defender as he flatters to deceive on a regular basis therefore Keane was right about one thing he is not good enough. |
| News Comment | McParland: Arsenal\'s High Line Key to Town\'s Tactics at 13:17:19
Now we can see why Fabregas is Captain. He takes the whingeing and moaning attitude from his manager on to the field of play for him. The constant tantrums we have to listen to every week when Arsenal drop points and the excuses in TV interviews from "The whingeing one" about Blackburn, Bolton, Stoke, Ipswich, Leeds and many more that beat those overpaid prima donna's through 100% effort because they do not have the same financial clout. No Wenger, some teams will not roll over and die so grow a pair and give credit where credit is due. We are getting bored of your childish behaviour. |

Another ex-top flight official, Jeff Winter, concurred: "The conditions did not seem to be affecting the players that much. Absolutely Jeff, we look terrible on a hot sunny day so a snow drift will not make much difference! Hopefully a Tsunami up the Orwell on Boxing day and another 3 points. COYB's (tongue in cheek before you all start on me folks!) |
| News Comment | A Song for Ipswich at 13:17:30
What about 'Get Back' by the Beatles. As RK will make sure we don't come out of our half again if we DO actually go one nil up. Or 'Whe're on the Road to Nowhere' by Talking Heads to remind everyone how far we have actually come in the last nine years. |
| News Comment | Keane Hits Out at Critics at 10:14:47
Yes, I understand what Keane is saying but when you strip it down to the basics, putting a lone forward (average height as well) up front and then banging the ball up to him so big defenders (Naylor etc) can just head it back is surely not a good idea. This is the reason we have created few chances at home. It seems we are depending on set pieces and mistakes by defences. This, or the team are not adaptable enough to play to the system. |
| News Comment | Keane: Result Was Fair at 07:41:29
The good thing is that QPR will probably win this division by a mile. They did make us look ordinary but starting at home with one out-and-out forward was a bad management decision and showed too much respect. Strengthening the midfield is one thing (and that didn't work!) but then banging the ball up skywards to Scotland who had his back to goal the whole of the first half was a complete waste of time. By the time we did change it around and put pressure on them it was too late anyway. RK should have had a rethink mid first half while we were still in the game. The big test is how we react to a loss. We need to be tactically more aware on Saturday. |
| News Comment | Town Back in Bottom Three at 10:07:52
I can't wait for the season ticket renewal letter. What propaganda are we going to get for 2010/2011? 'Join in the Super Blues in their push for the conference' or 'Buy a season ticket to insure your place for our Johnstone paint trophy home games'. For the money spent we either are very unfortunate in the players we have bought or there are deeper problems in the Club we are not aware of. |
| News Comment | Barton Ruled Out of Newcastle Side Facing Town at 16:03:22
'Joey will not figure. He has had a problem with his foot of late, it is a bit of a hangover from a problem he had earlier in the season' Are the words in the right order here unfortunate quote from Hughton. Perhaps it should read 'a hangover problem after his foot injury caused from kicking someone outside a nightclub the night before' |
| News Comment | Keane: A Long Way to Go But Encouraging Signs at 08:30:32
The first half was encouraging. The lack of confidence did show in the second half though because we could not hold the ball up front and then get behind Forest. We resorted to smacking the ball up in the air again. Stead may be built as a target man but he isn't, surely RK must now try something different. We do not seem to be able to adapt as other teams do. Forest sussed out their first half frailties and adapted accordingly. As soon as teams do close us down we run out of ideas. Second half chances were few and far between and what started promisingly returned to mindless pumping the ball straight down the field. Leadbitter was about the only player who showed any footballing brain although the other newbies also looked OK. Anyway RK, tactically you are falling well short at the moment. We need more thought and adaptability and a goalscoring option. |
| News Comment | Keane: Penalty Miss Crucial at 08:08:26
Quote RK "I've said it before but you just can't give away goals like that." Yes we know, we heard it week in week out from Jim and now RK is saying the same thing. Of course we all know we are not stupid! It's doing something about it when it happens every game is the aim not telling everyone what is bleedin obvious. We have heard it all before! Don't tell us about bad defending RK we are experts. It is your job to sort it out! |
| News Comment | Keane: You Won\'t Play for Me Again at 13:26:19
As they didn't play does that mean Healy and Delaney are safe? Well that's OK then!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry but RK has had all of the close season to sort this outto form some kind of blueprint to what he wants. We have taken a large step backwards. OK, we have only played 4 games but, as he said, he is aiming for promotion this season. I hope he is a better judge of talent than he is indicating himself to be at the moment. Looking to throw them all out by the end of August does not bode well for the rest of the season. I may be wrong but it seems to smack of desperation already! |
