For the first time I saw green shoots of progress. Probably needed the experience of Skuse in midfield, but we dominated parts of the game. Keep the faith in Lambo |

Lets be honest with ourselves, the appoint an inexperienced manager and bring in lots of hungry young players fantasy clearly hasn't worked. Been to all bar one match this season and seen complete dross, in fact worse than Mick's football, hard to say but true! Also do not like the way Hurst talks about senior players. PH OUT |

Freddie sears is one of the worst strikers we've ever had he is not clinical and passes up on too many chances l, therefore McCarthy is almost forced to play him out wide because he is frankly useless from a goal scoring perspective, he Will never score more than 10+ a season |

I think McCarthy has done a bloody good job with this budget and finally it's caught up with him... still believe he is the man to save us from a relegation scrap... that we're now in. He desperately needed some money however in this inflated market mr Evans was reluctant to back him, but what can you say he's previously invested money and it's been a complete waste. Let's hope (pray) these guys can help us out at least! |

I've said it time and again... Freddie sears is not good enough to play at striker, today those who saw the match and thought that he is good enough to play in that position should hopefully have seen what I have been talking about. |

Tractor blue So have I and I really just don't see the quality in the team... we don't have a considerable amount of options and are very limited up top. I think McCarthy is doing an ok job with a comparitavely poor squad. We simply don't currently have the money to match other teams financially and until then I am reluctant to accept this is the best football we can possibly hope for in order to secure our place in the division. I completely disagree with a change in manager will improve situation approach.. if we sack McCarthy it's going to be a huge payout and then to employ another manager who could have equally poor results is not viable considering our limited funds. Look at Swansea for example they're in a complete mess The key to this situation is large investment which is not coming soon. We need the funds to get a murphy like striker who can revitalise some poor attacking options. The 'creative' midfielders we have are also just not up to it and are to risky for big matches as they just can't be relied on not to do something foolish, I pray that some investement in Jan can sort some of this out |

Beautifully argued flyingdurchman, you have really displayed your intellect. How about you argue my point rather than calling me that? |

Wayway of course this is not the best football but in the circumstances I am prepared to accept that in order to ensure we do not get my relegated. Hopefully with a bit of investment in January some reasonably players can be bought and perhaps we will all be a bit happier. Warktheline The team selection; Douglas had to be selected for that match due to lack in quality options in midfield. Bishop and bru cannot be relied on to not make foolish decision and give away possession... and against tough opposition it would be silly to risk playing those kind of midfielders. Chambers is the captain and it's going to be hard to displace his spot.. he's been a valuable servant to the club and shows considerable passion on the pitch leading often by example. Pitman is one player i disagee with as struggles to last full match and doesn't press teams enough could have done with sears up top for that. BUT sears can't play striker because his conversion rate this season has been appalling and all through last year... he cannot be relied on to score when provided with chances, regardless of what you say about he would be better up top, with McCarthy' system they are all provided with an opportunity at striker and time and again he CANT FINISH. |
