The KGB museum in Tallin is brilliant! It occupies the top secret floor of a hotel - the hotel lifts finish on the floor below.

They show you round this floor, where they used to monitor guests - particularly VIP guests. It has been left exactly as it was when the KGB left in a hurry, when Russia lost control - including fag butts in the ashtrays.

Found the whole experience and stories of that era fascinating - and well worth doing imo.

I am a Nodge fan though! lol Seriously though, only about an hour tour, but an hour well spent.

Smoking
at 22:04 22 Mar 2019

Me too SE1blue I could never have stopped smoking without Easyway! Put simply, it stopped me wanting to smoke, so it is certainly worth reading for people who are struggling having given up.

That was 14 years ago when I was 40 having smoked since I was 13, and after many attempts to stop before then, which always resulted in rows with my wife, as I was an angry monster without fags!

I'm well into my 40s but have only now discovered the text to columns feature

Using that, using LEFT and RIGHT to remove characters at the start or end of cells, TRIM and CLEAN have all been a huge help to me - and don' get me started on VLOOKUP! Excel is great! Boring to non-believers!

Anyone on here actually familiar with 'the deal'
at 15:51 16 Nov 2018

There appear to be a number of unpalatable elements to the proposed deal.

My understanding is that we still negotiate over the Ireland hard border, but until this issue is resolved, the EU must give us permission to leave, we cannot just decide to leave ourselves as a Country to leave the EU. Unless there is a crisis apparently, and all hell breaks loose in Ireland.

Strangely we would also agree to pay to belong to a scheme to access EU security data, for things like terrorism suspects etc. Strange as apparently our security services pride themselves on being the best in Europe, and we provide most of this security data to the EU in the first place, so we would more or less paying for the information we have already provided the EU!

Finally we will not regain our fishing rights in UK waters, which will still be shared with EU Member States, and we will still be members of the EU agricultural policy - my understanding is that we would still have to contribute money, until we finally leave (only leaving with the EU's permission).

I think there are plans for an EU Committee to be set up, consisting of UK and EU officials, to agree how much the UK should be charged each year by the EU in this interim period.

I know there is obviously a lot more, but these are just the points I have picked up on so far.

Smokers / Ex-Smokers
at 19:15 6 Nov 2018

I smoked loads from when I was 13 to 40 years old.

Stopped smoking using Allen Carrs Easyway book, and quite simply never wanted to smoke again once I'd read that book!

I had tried to stop smoking hundreds of times, and never thought I would, so that book was absolutely brilliant for me and actually made it easy to stop.

Nodge Fan in peace - Lambert Perspective

I think Culverhouse was important, but, bearing in mind the tough projects he has had, he seems to have done ok without him. You have grabbed such a good coach in Matt Gill - I really didn't see that coming!

If your fan base sticks with Lambert, I do think he will keep you up, if you have the players to do it. That's the big question though, and no disrespect here, but a lot of your fans seem to wonder whether you have enough quality players to stay up.

Time will tell, and if you stick with him until Jan then you may find some shrewd signings to help.

Lambert did increase the squads fitness, as Farke has done now. We conceded a lot of late goals pre Farke - not any more. So I again expect your team to be fitter under Lambert - don't leave the ground early!

Nodge Fan in peace - Lambert Perspective

Just interested in your thoughts over this appointment that has divided your fan base perhaps a little, and also wanted to make a few comments about Lambert's style.

Firstly a lot of Town fans seem to think Lambert has failed ever since he left Norwich. This isn't really true - he has taken on some really tough projects, possibly some that others would not take on, and he has largely achieved the goals he was originally tasked with. His Ipswich project is (no disrespect here) equally as tough as some of those.

At Wolves he did not have decision making on new signings, and left as he wanted to have that control I believe.

Secondly, it's been mentioned that he likes a target man, and he does like someone to hold the ball up. Surprisingly you don't seem to have an ideal candidate for this.

I'm surprised because Hurst had Carlton Morris on loan from us last season, a youngster yes, and not a prolific goal scorer - but a great at holding the ball and bringing other players into the game which is why he played so many games for Shrewsbury last season - I just find that odd!

Thirdly, as you all know (hilarious) we lost our first game in L1 to Colchester 7-1. A poor defence at the time.

As soon as Lambert came in, a certain Mr Wes Hoolahan was not even in our squad! A luxury that couldn't be afforded until our defence was sorted out! So I think there is no doubt Lambert will start to sort your defence out first, and then look at other areas.

Lambert's style, once the defence was sorted, was all attack and go out to win every game, a passing style and not a long ball style.. I don't think that will change with you, once the defence is sorted.

I think he will keep you up, and then who knows.

My question is do you think your fans have enough patience to stick with him, or will he get boo's after maybe two losses?

Also, if you did go down, would it be his fault? Would you back him to get you back up again, or want him sacked?

Interesting times, and East Anglian football history in the making.

Me - I hope you stay up, but still lose the derby! But good luck in this new phase of ITFC history - who knows - we might one day be back in the Prem together where both Clubs belong!
