So last year I was able to purchase a ticket for me, my dad and nephew in one transaction (as non members, general sale). So now, we basically all need to be a member (approx £110), we then all have to log on separately and hope there are still 3 seats together and buy individually??? Will you be able to link memberships to give one person the facility to buy multiple tickets so families can sit together? |

This feels a little odd... If he had time left on his contract (which he clearly did), we'd be able to command some sort of nominal fee for him (if we wanted)? However, we terminate his contract yesterday and the next day he signs for Burton on a free. Ultimately its fairly irrelevant as we happily lose the headcount and wages, but if this was all lined up (which it seems like it was) it just feels a bit strange we didn't look to get a nominal price for him and the whole 'terminated by mutual consent' seems a bit weird. We could have just let Burton sign him for nothing if that was all we could get in order to offload him? Maybe some clever accounting to stop agents getting pay outs or something in that ballpark? Either way, good luck to him though, glad he's got a club. |

Despite our league position, we have missed Lee. Some of his passing this season has been sublime, and with him and Morsy starting in midfield you just feel confident from the outset. Can't wait to see him back, as well as a few of the others who are injured at the moment. I reckon we could absolutely romp the second half of the season all being well. Interesting saga with the keepers. Hladky wants to be No. 1 somewhere, which is what you'd expect, but clearly he's not up for the challenge of competing with Walton. Holy (for me) is heading towards being a professional bench warmer somewhere (noted he'd dropped out of the first 11 at Port Vale) and clearly not rated enough to be considered backup with us. Not sure any of our reserve keepers are knocking on the door of the first team yet, so will be interesting to see who we get in. Do we get an older 'back-up / bench warmer', or someone to challenge Walton, who is undoubtedly going to be first choice and rightly so... Will we go down the season load route for a replacement? Interesting one. |

Personally I'd love to see Bonne be offered a deal. There is lots of underestimated value in a players passion and desire to play for their home club, and for that value alone he's worth a contract in my opinion. We forget that Macca had (and still has probably) some personal issues off the pitch, which he disclosed a few months back. Those issues about difficulties in trying to start a family with long term partner, also go to show a level of maturity and stability that will also define a balanced individual going forward. For me, all these attributes combined (and with the talent he does have) are what you want in any employee - we don't want a team full of wildcards, spoiled kids and individuals, we need that balance and leadership mentality going forward, which is why I'd like to see him stay.
Also, maybe Macca should/could consider changing his role as a play (do people still do that?), maybe he'd be a better midfielder???
Either way, thanks Macca, I really hope to see you back! |

Carroll on the other hand I will not miss in the slightest. Although many of us have tried to forget Barrow away in the cup, I will never forget his performance that night (and numerous comparable performances since). I don't recall ever seeing a player so inept and out of his depth as I did that night. Sorry Tom but that'll be my only recollection of you going forward. Fingers crossed you'll do better elsewhere.
Will be another interesting summer at Ipswich and I'm excited about that. |

Very disappointing result, no denying that. We played some excellent football and totally dominated that second half. Morsey is class, we're a different outfit when he plays. Remember we're missing key player, Edmundson, Evans, and a striker who scores regular goals. But am I the only one that really doesn't rate Thomson, he looses the ball all the time, his passing and delivery are mostly poor, and I can't see how he's any better than Penny, KVY… |

Fair enough, in life and work I like people being honest. If a job/employer isn't right for you then don't stick about for the money and ride. In my experience people in that mindset are a negative influence and best off being allowed or helped to move on (plus it does the person in question no favours mentally if they're not happy). As I say, he's been honest, he's off our wage bill, what more can you ask? Good luck to him, no hard feelings from me, hope the grass is indeed greener on the other side. |
