Falling attendances are not Jewell's fault. I'm not going on Saturday because if I take my wife there, that's £58 just to get in for "entertainment" of a dubious quality. I can find far more entertaining things to do with the money and that breaks my heart. It was £1.60 for adults and 80p for kids the year I first went. We had a pretty tasty team too. It's the prices that are killing attendances and their relentless rise while the footie on offer declines in quality. I wish Sonko all the best - at least he wants to be here - or he will until the cretins boo him off at half-time. |
