Thought Garner, Waghorn and Connolly did really well. Good to see Huws back as well. Referee was poor and Loovens should definitely have been sent off. Sears didn't do to well tonight but has no confidence and he is played in the wrong position. The performance was good but I honestly believe that Sheffield Wednesday deserved an equaliser near the end. I don't remember the last time we have shielded the ball in the corner with a 1 goal advantage with the other team having 7 attacking players. As soon as you lose the ball you're in deep trouble and we just couldn't Nuhiu,who hadn't scored in 43 for SWFC, in the box. You should always go for a two goal advantage even if all your strikers are off the pitch. There were definitely improvements but shame we couldn't see it out. On to VIlla! |

Brilliant news. All we need now is a Murph replacement, a left-footed centre-back and a right-winger and we will be pretty much sorted. Maybe another creative midfielder is needed as well. Good start to the transfer window for once. |

Webster looked very good today. One of today's positives. Lamah did well today. It was good to see a passing game going today but we got caught on the counter attack from a corner for the first goal and then didn't know what to do next. Thankfully, this was only a pre-season game but this can't happen against Barnsley next week. |

We can't compete with other Championship clubs for transfers. Mick is doing his best but we have lost out to Feeney and it looks like all these transfer targets are not interested. Personally, we need at least one winger before Barnsley H. I would happily take back Maitland-Niles if that is the case. |

I am sad but I understand why Maitland-Niles isn't starting. I also find it a shame that Blanchfield, Fowler and Ford are not in the squad even though is a very young bench. |
