Presumably this has all been approved by the Club and they will have checked with KM whether it’s something that he wants to see and he’s probably asked the players. What’s good for KM and the team is good for me. KM wants us to enjoy these moments and it didn’t do any harm against Exeter. Personally I can’t wait to get involved and nor can my 11 year old son! |

At it from the off against a team playing at home with big motivation to win and packed full of top quality players. We could and should have won with the chances missed, errors made and a virtuoso performance from Hutchinson but, in be round, brilliant showing all things considered. Still a lot to do but if we play like that in the last 2 games we will be fine. The only real concern is the Davis injury, he would be a huge miss |

Hladky made a surprise visit to my son’s Ipswich footy training in Cambridge tonight. Was brilliant with the boys and joined in their game playing outfield and absolutely wiped out one of the poor lads with a cracking tackle! My son got to speak with him and have his photo taken with him and came back buzzing. I was a bit angry with my son though as he failed to ask hladky what his favourite cheese was. I told him he had let himself, TWTD and the Club down |

I agree and hesitated before posting my message as may be unnecessarily provocative. On the whole Ashton has done an incredible job and we are very lucky to have him though I do hope that we get a clear statement on what happened and why as it does seem baffling and so add odds with the messaging about how our fans always step up when asked and go above and beyond. I’m pretty angry about this |

Ashton has got form in looking to control independent reporting but hopefully he’s learnt his lesson and allows TWTD and others a little more leeway.
This is a quote from Oliver Phillips who was a long standing reporter on the Watford Observer in a piece from 2008 (just after Ashton left them):
“I remember that within days of my retirement, Ashton informed the Watford Observer they had to provide the identity of the Player of the Season winner in advance, something we had never done in 34 years.
A year later Ashton advised us we would have to pay them £1,000 each year for the right to run our Player of the Season Award – take it or leave it.
To say they pulled a new stroke monthly against this newspaper would be a serious understatement.
Ever since the club was founded, this newspaper has given it publicity and been provided with team news, quotes and news of plans for the future and weekly access.
That ceased on a weekly basis almost immediately I retired.
It seemed to me the executives were determined to bring the paper to heel and reduce it to an extension of their publicity arm.
Remember when the newspaper was banned for daring to print the legitimate complaints over the delays in obtaining Elton John Concert tickets?
When the Watford Observer’s representatives were called to discuss the story, Ashton was part of the fiercely aggressive, over-the-top harangue, adding the priceless remark: “You never help us. You are always against us.” |

Absolute scandal if the rumours are true. What were they thinking? Loads of great PR undone in an instant. Feel really sorry for those who’ve spent their hard earned travelling the length and breadth of the country following the team to miss out in these circumstances. |

Hutchinson was excellent and axel had a really good game but Morsy mom for me as he is nearly every week. Unbelievable player and captain. So consistent and influential with a ridiculous engine and unbelievable mental strength and focus. Really hope he doesn’t get a 3 game suspension in the run in. We really miss him when he’s not playing |
