Target Kuszczak Was at Town for Talks

Alright guys. Brighton fan here.

Been reading these pages a bit since the recent links posted up on our boards re: the notorious banner and then this Kuszczak lark.

Think most Albion fans realise the banner was a bizarrely misguided moment of madness from a small bunch off ignorant whatsits. No grudge held or unpleasantness still felt. Didn't half help fire our fans up to roar us on to victory, though. In fact, feel free to bring another one this season! ;0)

Re: Kuszczak. We are working to a strict budget so are not throwing money around as some suggest here. Last season our budget was the 17th highest out of the 24. Don't know this season although is reportedly 'a bit more'. When the FFP kicks in we will be as well placed as anyone else. Chairman Bloom is a very shrewd and successful businessman with the club's interests very close to his heart (comes from a long line of Albion fans).

Our club's been through the mill and back again these past two decades and we've suffered a ridiculous amount of pain following the Albion, but at long last we are back to our natural size...realising the potential we've been waiting to fulfil for so long due to outsiders' influences.

Any funds we are spending will come from revenue generated from our 22,000 season ticket sell-out, large % sales on ale and pies and club merchandise - all of which have been a HUGE success...e.g we sell 10,000 pies per match.

Hope that clarifies things.

Anyway, it's bound to be another very competitive division. I wish you guys luck on the forthcoming season. Used to have a soft spot for you as I grew up when Eric Gates, Paul Mariner, John Wark, Alan Brazil, Mick Mills and Arnold Muhren were regular fixtures on the tellybox.

How do you see you team shaping up this campaign?
