From the highlights, it looks as though the lad can hit an absolute worldy penalty.

Great signing.

McCarthy: Ranieri’s Sacking a Reminder
at 10:36:45

Whether you agree or disagree, there's a lot to be admired about Mick when you hear interviews like this. McCarthey has often been accused (and rightly so) of being a bit brash towards the fans. However, one thing I've found time and time again, is that he'll always defend his players. As he says here, he's happy to take the abuse - he doesn't care - so long as it's not directed at the team. I think this says a lot about him - something I really respect.

Mick is right about football - it's fickle. And it takes someone like Mick to be the scapegoat at times. I like to think (and hope) our club would never have sacked Ranieri had we been in that position. Ranieri was another that deflected attention from his players - and look where that got him. You need a leader that will defend and stand by you no matter what the cost.

It takes a lot of guts to do that, and I'm thankful we have it.

McCarthy Hopes Derby Performance and Result Will Help Mend Relationship With Fans
at 13:25:16

I, along with many others, admit to have had doubts about Mick over the last season and a half.

I feel though, genuinely, that people need to wake up a bit. For the budget been given to Mick, he's done absolutely fantastically and although it's been suggested before, I genuinely feel that this summer more than any other, Evans will see and rise to a need to invest.

Investment aside though, this month, we've competed with the best in the league. Should have had Brighton and Leeds and yesterday, could've had an early penalty which would've been a game changer.

I think the performance yesterday was one of unity - a real grinded team performance. Mick has the dressing room and I think that matters.

I would urge people - get behind your team. Nothing's ever straightforward nor perfect in football but as with a few seasons ago, a little bit of positivity and faith can go a long way.

Town Out to End Long Wait for Derby Glory
at 14:40:02

Looking forward to the game on Sunday and if I'm honest, I'm quite optimistic (touch wood).

I don't buy into all this Norwich chat about their blistering home form. Saying that, I'm always a bit nervous about Hoolahan and on top of that, how Jonny Howson plays will be pivotal for their performance.

For us though, it's been great to see Didz back to his best. I thought he was excellent against Leeds last weekend and from his pre-match interview, I reckon he'll be up for it on Sunday. Due a goal also and definitely been deserving of it. If he can pull out a decent performance and the team rally, I think we'll win it.

2-1 Town. COYB
