Though the goal was indeed a good finish, it was the move and all the other players involved who made it so great to watch and admire. I'd argue that some of those other touches from midfield and defence were just as high quality.

Open your minds guys. I think MM is sensible enough to realise he won't be sending them out on loan unless he's already lined up McGhee or similar as quality in the back 4.
he also is well aware of the Smith/Chambo dilemma and is why he's after McGhee after all. New guy comes in as RB, Chambo goes into the centre and we have Smith and Parr on the bench, with 2 promising youngsters playing first team weekly football and able to drop in easily if we need them urgently. I think thats the back 4 pretty sorted in my view.
Loans should be seen as positives. With a clause to get them back quickly, it means they're are already match-fit and more likely to make an impact than if they were sat on the bench or in the stands watching the first team play.
Looking forward to a great performance tonight and a win against Burnley. 7 points from 3 pretty tough opening fixtures would be a superb start to the season, and playing attractive, exciting football for a refreshing change! |
