| Forum Reply | This kit'll do for next year... at 07:21 8 May 2021
Love these designs, better than anything we’ve worn for years. Much prefer kits that are distinctive like these and can be recognised as ours rather than just another team in blue. White shorts for our home kit is an absolute must for me and if we play away then use the away kit not blue on blue. Never been a fan of white sleeves on any home kit. As for away kits, most nostalgic for me are (in no particular order)... blue & yellow (first away game at an intimidating and raucous Upton Park), the white & black of the early 80’s (when we always seemed to win in it) & the ‘you know when you’ve been tangoed’ kit (been various versions of it but in my youth was on a management development programme up North where we visited and met with the exec of Umbro. In their boardroom was a mannequin sporting one of their designs. Of all the various clubs & kits they did at that time, it was our early orange number. I was chuffed to bits much to the annoyance of most of my glory hunting colleagues who were on the London/Man U/L’pool bandwagon. Our hosts were loving it too... indeed TWTD). |

Was definitely tw#ts. Was also sung elsewhere by other teams fans. As others have said was only a mild insult in those days. Can’t even spell it out now it seems for fear of causing offence. |

That really got to Shilton that day and affected him on the pitch, whereas when Grobbelaar got severe stick from the NS he just turned around laughing & dancing giving the Wkr sign back. Hilarious & the NS applauded him. |

Good to see you back on here Rommy. Rotherham could have been a cricket score, it was that one sided. Should have won that by a 3+ goal margin. Even their fans were saying that it was a smash & grab. As for the other games, think there’s a couple where with could ha’ rather than should ha’ come away with the points. |

I truly hope he comes good but I thought he was very poor at Hull & that other players in the squad would have given us more. |
| Forum Reply | So how was Graham today for those who went? at 22:42 15 Sep 2018
Just got back from the game...... I’m normally fairly patient & tolerant but I have to say I thought he was absolutely shocking. How he wasn’t substituted earlier I do not know. He doesn’t look fit & seemed less than interested. His touch was poor & positioning/defending weak. He did at least get a couple of shots in but set pieces and accuracy were not good. Surely we must have better in the squad. I can only assume he’s been performing well in training. Shame he hasn’t transferred it to a live game. Get him out and put Donacien in instead of Spence. Also we look better when Chalobah plays. Overall that was the worst team performance I’ve seen this year (didn’t go to Exeter so can’t compare to that). There was a decent following today but the players gave us nothing to cheer about. A long way to go to see a load of rubbish. The players and management team owe these fans big time and need to stand up & be counted. 5 away games, 5 defeats. I do believe there is ability in this squad but now is the time for action. Stop talking, start playing. |

Was told there were a still a couple of hundred away tickets left when picking ours up earlier today. Also said originally allocated 900 which sold quickly so club asked for more. As ever not def info. COYB |

🤞ðŸ¼If true that’s some clause by Barnsley. Shows how different deals can be structured & how the fee is just part of negotiations what with basic wages, perks, bonuses, triggers, agents fees. COYB |
| Forum Reply | Joshua v Wilder at 09:06 9 Nov 2017
Dubois can certainly bang. I'm really looking forward to seeing how he progresses over the next year or so. He has concussive power. AJ would have to have a big off day to get caught with one of Wilder's windmills. Tbf Wilder has fast hands & can straight punch too. If AJ can maintain concentration I'd back him but he does need to brush up on his defensive skills. Wilder's general technique is a level below AJs right now so depends upon how much he can improve in the interim. Much has been said about home advantage and atmosphere. This can sometimes energise the away fighter too. We were at Cardiff and it certainly didn't adversely affect Takam. Quite the reverse. Wilder has sat ringside before for AJs fights so he knows what to expect. If they fought 10 times I'd say AJ 8-1 with 1 no contest |

Have had dealings in the past, imh experience has a tendency to tell the public what they want to hear despite previously agreeing contra views in private. Does not have my trust. |
