We have all been saying for a long time to look in the lower leagues. And I'm glad we are doing so. There are gems to be found. As other teams have proven. I'd rather see a hungry lower league player get his chance then a journeyman from the championship who is happy to be out injured for seasons at a time. Adeyemi? Who knows what gems we might unearth. Some people have a short memory, yes I agree our football is not the prettiest on the eye.. And possibly played better football under our previous management.. We also finished around 15th for a good run of seasons... Sometimes playing "attractive football" doesn't always pay off. You read it in the match reports every week by the other managers. No team likes playing us. And if it eventually get us out of this league then that's what needs to be done. Short memory people.. It's actually disappointing to see people moaning about it.. People say about wasting there money.. But I expect most of you watched us finish mid table every year previous to these last two.. Was that more satisfying to you?
Mick is right in how he's doing it.. We haven't got the biggest budget and we can't get the quality of players that other teams can. But making us hard to beat is half the battle.. This is a tough league.. And playing pretty football doesn't get you out of it.. At the end of the day we are 6th maybe only just.. But we are there.. Who cares if we have boring matches every week as long as we get the points and get back to the promised land!!
Stop being narrow minded and look it at realistically.. We have had dreadful season after season before McCarthy came in.. He's finally getting us competing at the right end of the league and people still seem to want to find a negative in it... |

The bloke has only been linked and yet people are slating him. If he had played five games for us and played awful could understand it. We are adding the right people to the right squad. It has shown that with true team spirit and togetherness is really the key ingredient to winning and losing in this division. We are building a team. Mick won't sign players who will rock the boat. Hence why Taylor has left. Undoubted quality and is a very good player. But might I add he is also a individual player. And that's the foundation our team is built on now. Noel has all the key ingredients to be a mick signing for the squad he is trying to build. Players like Lewis Mcgugan. Great player don't get me wrong. But also another who is an individual. We have our special player and that's mcgoldrick. |

With this signing of Jordan graham now we finally have a bit of pace and skill I can see us climbing the table. I'm not laying all our hopes on one player but before he came in I thought we are only a couple of players away from having a very decent team in the championship.. Bit of creativity in the midfield is what we have seriously been lacking.. Can only see it benefiting results and if he really does turn it around for town hopefully extend the loan and add 1 or 2 more in January.. I think this could be one of towns most exciting seasons for a long time!!

At the end of the day we have been crying out for MM to bring some pace to the team and he finally has and still people are being very negative about it, I know people think well why haven't we given our youngsters ago and fair enough I can understand people's views on that.. But this loan will benefit the team in the short term.. If our youngsters were ready to play then they would be in the team.. It's not like MM isn't a fair manager.. Lets face facts we are a working progress, to obtain promotion this season is very unrealistic, we just need to have a stronger season that recent seasons, which so far we are, I've never looked at us and thought we are contenders for this league, but who knows next season?
We need to build a team and it takes time, time and time again I hear about that Leicester team how they have played together for a couple of seasons now, and look this season they look like there getting the just deserves, that could be us, that's what we must aim for. |

At a start maybe due to lack of match fitness since his injury, hyam and skuse have done well in midfield for the way mick wants them, it's not to everyone's cup of tea but for micks way they have done well, maybe if this new system comes into play alot more woody will feature more?
