| Blog Comment | Should Jewell Go Now? But What Then? at 16:44:35
Danfootie - Billy Davies had very much the opposite to 'next to nothing' at Forest. I'm all for Billy Davies but he needs to be backed big time by Evans on terms of funds and he WILL kick off if he doesnt get his man, a la Forest. If you want Taricco you might as well appoint any young coach with a Uefa Pro License and simply let them cut their teeth with us. But then again that is an absolute massive risk on our part. Is their anyone else who could do better than Jewell? In my opinion it's a lottery. Brendan Rodgers was awful at Reading but work wonders at Swansea, Pardew was laughed at before he got the Newcastle job, now look at him. Yes the idea and ability has to be there but to a certain extent managerial success slot of the time can be pot luck. Who do I want? no idea, I think we won't go down Jewell or not, I suppose I'd play out this year and see what's about come May |

Well done mate, a very good read all round. IMO I really don't see the point in sacking Paul Jewell. He's spent all summer building a young squad that will peaking any time soon, what I can't believe is that only 5 games in and the young squad we all wanted is now not what we needed after all and Jewell should be sacked because of this! Yes we need a centre back and we eventually get one, all we need to do as fans for the time being as fans is just be patient with the team and management. It can't be a bad thing that Jewell wants to be 100% sure he's getting the right player for his squad and for whatever reason it's taking a little longer than we all hoped. And let's face it, we could of had slot less points than 5 with a first 5 of Blackburn, Watford, Blackpool, Huddersfield and Boro! |

| News Comment | Town Topic: What Could Improve Matchdays at Portman Road? at 11:47:19
How about actually playing some football related pre-match music? Stuff like Just Can't Get Enough, Baby Give It Up, Glad All Over, One Step Beyond and the old Singing The Blues would be a massive improvement on the crap they play now! Even last seasons music wasn't too bad with the radio Suffolk highlights played over the top of it! Also something HAS to be done about the Sir Alf stand in terms of noise. Maybe those who usually buy tickets for games in the SBR should pick just one game to sit in the SAR stand to see if anyone actually wants to sing! It would certainly be easier than moving the away fans! Why wait for the away fans to come to the SBR, when we can take the SBR to the away fans!!! |
| News Comment | Sunday Derbies Likely From Now On at 10:06:19
Atmosphere wise in and around the town and in the ground (until 8pm) was cracking. I don't see why their kicking off over an issue regarding their fans missing the kick off, to be fair just as much if not more Town fans missed the kick off aswell, it was just a case of how long you wanted to shout at each other. We gave it until 7.40 and made our way to our seats, anyone could of done that whether they were Blue or Yellow |

'just hopefully it's not Nathen Ellington' Well he was always likely to sign after you wrote that! Personally I think it's a good bit of business and were not expecting him to start every game and score 20+ goals (that's for Chops!). Have to say that on the whole I agree with the blog and the longer Hull keep Bullard the more eager he will be to get out so a last minute loan deal maybe possible. |
| News Comment | Monday Morning Pitch Inspection at Doncaster at 10:52:25
Just for everybody who thinks the clubs themselves do the pitch inspections..... Your Wrong! If you read before you have ago it says Mark Halsey will inspect the pitch, Now correct me if im wrong but i thought he was a referee not a groundsman. It was the referee's decision to have a late pitch inspection for the watford game, not Alan Ferguson's! But these days you so called fans like to have a moan about absolutly anything ipswich related and immediatly blame the club! |

A win against watford and were not looking so bad again, look at the post christmas form last year! If we can end like we did last year with Mcauley coming back were right in contention. Just trying to stay positive by the way, unlike the majority of the commenters on here! |
| News Comment | Keane: We\'re Not Ready to Cement Top Six Place at 00:04:29
Have to question why Townsend didnt start tonight as he was a real threat once he came on, thought colback came central far too many times restricing any width at all. Also wickham looked abouk 50K of his 10M price tag! But we've got to move on and accept it was a bad night. Once again Tamas Priskin threatened, was full of running and it genuinly looked like he was up for it! Still lots of things to work on and build upon but tonight was 'a bad day/night at the office' must do much better and get back to winning ways on saturday. |

NTB Keano! I think he could do a great job in hyams role (hyam's played virtually every game and needs a rest) it will also be great to get some quality back up for leadbitter and norris! COYB |

| News Comment | Keane: We\'re Not Playing That Much Better Than Last Year at 09:22:20
To be fair our form since the back end of last season was arguably play off form so to say were not playing much better is a fair comment but it rather buts a negative spin on what has been a fantastic month for the club! I really want us to kick on now and be that team that does well every week, like wolves two years ago and newcastle last year because were not far off that standard. You've got to remember this start has been without 3 first team certs; wickham, delaney and kennedy so i am extreamly pleased and looking forward to the rest of the season which i so hope is a successful one! COYB!!! |
| News Comment | Keane Pleased to Progress But Town Could Have Played Better at 23:27:58
Im with big_foot_blue, i know i'l be down at portman road on saturday, great start to the season maybe one more signing in for bristol as were still abit thin in terms of numbers. You've got to remember this start has been withou key players such as wickham, delaney and kennedy so C'mon and get behind the team! BLUE ARMY! |
| News Comment | Two More Strikers Set to Move On? at 23:02:55
We havan't had a prolific strike force at this level for a good 5 years when kuqi and bent tore the division apart so i am fully behind shifting stead and counago. Stead looks decent once every 7 games which wont be good enough if were pushing for top 6 and sorry pabs but your past it im afraid. I think Scotland will join either before palace or early next week and seeing as Scotland is relativly cheap there will be one 'big money' signing. IN KEANE I TRUST |
