If other teams keep spending stupid money on those sorts of players, surely that will leave very good players who are unhappy and looking for a respectable club to go and play first team football. I agree that it seems to be the case now that to get the big bucks in the prem, you need to spend beyond your means in the champ, but surely there is still a place for a team like us to go quietly about our business and pick up the right sort of player who is unhappy at their current club.
I have faith that we are a genuine club who can achieve promotion, a bit like Bournemouth last season. Just need to sort out out leaky defence!! |

Great guy! Chatted to him at the Bury Rugby 7's on Sunday and when I asked him if he would ever be pulling the town shirt on again he told me, "not if the gaffer has his way!" Confirmed he'd be registering for next year but unlikely to play. Also told me to keep it quiet, clearly wanted TWTD to have the exclusive!! I also asked him about Jack Marriott and made sure he told MM not to sell him like Rhodes but he couldn't see him ousting McGoal-drick or Murphs to start in August. Again, great player and took my Naarwich comment in good humour :) |

Can we all remember these positive comments if and when we go through a bit of a bad run and make outrageous comments such as, " that Loach was a waste of money", and "another one of Jewell's flops!" it's clear to see what Jewell's is trying to do and any 'true' fan will not be finding fault each week. I am beginning to look forward to the start of the season already, feeling as though our defence is being strengthened and belief is returning to our great club! COYB |

Forest finished 19th last year with Billy Davies doing a good job to keep them up. I think when all is considered, a mid table finish for town is what was more realistic at the start of the season when you think both Magilton and Royle's first years in charge finished in the same manner. Davies then, with little pressure on his head, have turned Forest into a struggling relegation threatened team to one that is pushing for that promotion.
If Keano got us promoted this year, relegation would be hard to avoid next year when in the Premier league if you look at the likes of Burnley. So this way, Keano builds a strong team that WILL challenge next year and have a better chance of staying up in the Premier League the year after, with Keano at the helm!
