Town Confirm Reo-Coker Deal
at 21:48:43

I certainly didn't see thAT ONE COMING , AN EXCELLENT ACQUISITION.

Team for Hull Keep faith with Loach, one bad game, deserves a chance to redeem himself.

For me Cresswell is the one to replace, might wake him up. Moshni at centre-half and HIGGINBOTHAM AT LEFT BACK.

Feel that the real worry is Chopra who has done nothing recently and I wonder whether his head will ever be right after all that has gone on. No-one seems to be giving him a break at the moment. He needs to be able to play his football.

New Boys Set to Feature Against Cardiff
at 19:24:21

I,m really looking forward to the game tomorrow. Congratulations to Evans, Clegg and Paul for bringing in thesesthree players. Mohsni really appeals to me , Campbell will make a big difference and wellens is proven and I hope he fits in and a longer deal possibly permanent can be negotiated, He was consistently outstanding for Doncaster and plays the ipswich way.

Just a pity these three and Higginbotham were not here from the season start but it sounds like they were all on Paul's wish list which is good enough for me. I din not believe that many players with reaLISTIC WAGE DEMANDS HAVE SLIPPED THROUGH THE NET.

Pezzoni Back in Germany and Waiting on Town Decision
at 20:37:36

Surely the lad deserved a run out or two before a final decision was made. Given all of his circumstances, plus playing in a foreign country for the first time, I would recommend Paul & co give him some extra time or offer a loan intially.

We need some cover and if the only cover is Ainsley with two full games under his belt(he is fine as fourth choice) you have to be worried because as soon as either Chambers or Smith are out , including suspension that is what we have. The teams in our league will punish that situation fully and there is the season over. I would recommend this lad is given further time please before a final decision is made. I understood he was impressive in one training session.

Sounds promising and the option to be put up front late in games could pay dividends.

everyone wants this so Mr Evans please sit the lad down and sort it out with him. He can easily earn more money with us by proving his ability on the pitch.

An Incentivised package is the answer,

Have to agree totally with Talbs77 on this occasion. The list EADt came up with today didn't inspire confidence either, the shortness of the list being most telling.

The Arsenal lad Miguel seems the best bet but he won't be staying on a permanent so if he is one who the hell is the other. Something in my bones tells me it will be George Elekobi from Wolves as he can cover left back as well. My worry is he can't make the Wolves team.

If it is a Preiership reserve I am really struggling to think of anybody. Any ideas?

Town Confirm Taylor Signing
at 23:55:17

Absolutely delighted with this signing and will definitely travel from Guernsey to see Paul knock them in. Now for a big centre half to take the pressure off Tommy,

Would still like to think George Boyd will re-enter negotiations as him and Paul Taylor would know each other's game . His agent is better with a fee rather than no fee at all and I am sure a reasonable compromise can be reached.

Town Linked With New St Ledger Move
at 23:47:50

Whilst I think this would be a good signing, if Simon Clegg is reading this, Simon please find out what his wages are and if they are way beyond our structure and there is no compromise, please move on to the next target. Please validate this state of play as St ledger and Leicester have messed us around once already and there is precious little time left to close deals.

Boyd Now Unlikely to Join Town
at 23:28:09

Hope Boyd can be persuaded to change his mind.

1) He is an outstanding player and would make a big difference and his agent should be made well aware of our thoughts.
2) He wants to come and play with Taylor.
3) He won't have to move house.
4)Agree to maintain his present wage so that he immediately knows he is no worse off.
5) Come to an agreement to meet his wage demands but make the extra a bonus structure so that when he performs he gets paid what he expects. This will cost Ipswich nothing now until he proves himself. If this then hopefully happens , by then possibly Ellington will be settled up which will release funds to pay the extra,
Also the youngsters can be loaned out to help pay the wages and keep a tight knit squad.
I hope Boyd reads this as he is the one player I would certainly make a trip to watch and I live in Guernsey?

I hope he can re-consider and boost his career by making the right choice. I think a deal can be arrived at to satisfy all parties including George, Surely better to play where you are wanted.

Gallagher Linked Again
at 20:20:40

If you dis-regard the actual players involved or linked and look at the transfer matter generally it is quite clear to any outsider that there is a problem with negotiations. Most of the deals involve a medical after personal terms have been agreed. There does not seem to be any validation of wage demands before offers are made and if it is obvious the players want too much up frony , do not go any further and move on to the next target, My own job involves this all day long and I never get to first base if the numbers do not add up. I save my dignity by never making contact in the first place. It also saves the players from getting an inflated ego or worth via multiples bids or interest. Loans and Freebies are more straightforward.

For what its worth Clegg/Evans can put this right and should with the Peterborough pair as I think they would make a big digfference and I was absolutely gutted when the offers fell through. With Delaney and Stevenson and possibly Ellington off the wage bill there must be some room for negotiation now even if we have had to pay them off by some sort of percentage.

Nevertheless the problem of not completing deals remains what it is- a problem. More validation required Simon -Give me a call I'll show you how its done. I close 99% of my deals.

Peterborough Duo Pass Medicals
at 20:09:54

Just done some calculations. Jewell has got rid of 16 players sine January, provided Stevenson leaves and maybe 17 if Ellington finds another club. This does not take into account the 5 loanees thaT LEFT DURING LAST SEASON EITHER OR THE OTHER 20 PLUS PLAYERS THAT LEFT LAST SUMMER. I would say there is much need for theses players and a few more, However you cannot turn the numbers we have and expect overnight results.

Paul must be looking for two keepers. This makes perfect sense with the return to seven subs, ALB only required as backup.Enough said.

Town Move for Loach
at 21:05:24

Absolutely brilliant. Just as well Watford is where it is because I'm pretty sure Scott would walk to Portman road to sign.Great move by Paul. This guy will only get better with experience,

I was just resigning myself to ALB now I am confident the defence is being sorted. Would still take the Slovak as deputy as there only needs to be one injury.

Bolton Still Favourites for Lonergan
at 21:32:20

bluey420 I was pleased you were right about chambers but I am very worried about the lack of keepers. If Davies is the transfer involving a fee of any amount and we have let six players go since the end of the season and signed just two, with Peters and Ellington free to leave, it cannot be a wages issue because there is plenty of scope, even allowing for Chambers earning a decent wage.

Any ideas who it might be as I am really struggling beyond Stockdale.

Chambers Signs for Town
at 14:34:14

Excellent signing. Well done to Paul , Clegg and Evans for getting this one done. Credit when credit is due.

I am now looking forward to the season ahead, once a new no 1 has been purchased of course. Please note the emphasise on the word purchase. I do not feel we will get anyone any good without paying a fee.

Chambers at Town to Complete Move

This will be an excellent signing. Some one to organise smith or delaney.

Hope Paul makes him captain in due course. he certainly has the qualities.

Now for a solid keeper please. Still think we nned to fork out and get Loach in. he wants to play for us and has plenty of experience in this division.Somewhere along the lines we have to pay a fee to bring in quality.
