I don't think we can deny they deserved the win, while we didn't play that badly, the extra quality in midfield told in the end, it's a game that clearly means more to them, they were winning more first balls which meant we ended up feeding on scraps for the majority. I think MM picked too defensive a midfield, having Skuse and Chaplow meant almost no service to Murphy and Sears, with the latter having a great game. Starting with Parr may probably have been a better option, giving Mings more freedom further up the pitch, we clearly had a job to contain them, but we weren't brave enough imo. We move onto the next game, it's still all very tight, many twists and turns to come, onto Leeds!!
We seemed so slow in midfield tonight, and more importantly weren't winning the second balls, just looked a couple yards off the pace, as an exile it's hard to offer a possible reason, but we seemed to be looking ahead to Millwall more than tonight.
