Quitting job for more money

Update - I've spoken to a few people in the industry and all been given really poor reviews of the business.

Poor working culture, long working hours and understaffed. Also the business and client base is very fragile with Brexit and the lack of global reach. The money is like 30% more than my place though and I've just had a good raise.

The money is way out of line with industry averages and this has also made me a bit dubious. Although wouldn't stop me considering it.

Would you quit your current job for the same position at another firm if they gave you a significant pay rise?

I have this option but the firm who have offered me the job is much smaller and in my opinion not as good.

I am not completely happy where I am and the money would mean I could save a shed load more cash.

Changing career at 30

Does anyone have any advice or experience changing careers?

I am working in financial services (and have been for 9 years) and am approaching thirty and feel like I do not want to work the next 30 years in this profession.

The main problem I have is that I do not know or have a firm idea on what the alternative is but I feel like I need to move on soon.

I have looked on various recruitment websites but its very difficult to ascertain how easy it is to move to jobs in other industries.

Does anybody know how the "option" in his contract worked? I thought the option gave the club the right to extend his contract by 12 months.

Good luck to the lad at Celtic. Doesn't sound like his heart was in it at Town and I couldn't see him breaking into our team this season.

Potential Free Ticket for todays match

If anybody would like a free ticket for todays game I have one waiting at the QPR ticket office in my name. Sick as a dog so not going to make it.

Not sure whether you will need to prove your identity of whether a name will suffice but happy for anyone to give it a shot if they would like.

Looks as if they are selling on the gate anyways so may be worth trying your luck
