Derby County 4-4 Town
at 22:05:48

timing of conceding the second goal was the killer in my opinion. took derby to another level...

however i dont think this a 'take a draw' situation. at 4-1 up at half time we should by now have the organisation to see that result out. at the end of the season these are the results that will make or break us as far as play-offs are concerned.

move on to saturday and sheff wed becomes a must win game. a win there and 4 points from 2 away games is a very good return. COYB

Town 3-0 Millwall

Vital we won today. Going to loftus road next week on 0 points would be incredibly precarious so congrats to the lads!

what about those pictures of skuse and derry in the gallery. Literally what is derry trying to achieve? Skuse looks bemused aha...

McCarthy Pleased With New Boys
at 11:02:38

perhaps not the desired result on saturday, but at least we didnt lose. been really impressed with recent performances and just one goal conceded - that being in the last 5 minutes with 9 men at forest - in the last 3 games is a really good sign for what is going to be a crucial last part of the season. defence has improved no end this year...

also good to see nouble looking really sharp, signs are looking good for 13/14 IF we can stay up COYB!

Edwards: We're Playing to Keep Boss in Job
at 13:47:35

After two relatively solid games, the Cardiff result at home really put everything back into perspective. quality of football is dire and we are at the moment deserving to be where we are. Jewell has had his time and a victory at Hull will only cover up the problem and prolong his reign for another few weeks.

on another note, i have just seen Owen Coyle has been sacked at Bolton. he performed wonders at Burnley with a small budget and had a very good season with Bolton in PL before last season, and surely a young, hungry manager who instills a winning mentality would be ideal right now?! should get him in before someone else does i.e. Blackburn!!!

Forest Could Move for Delaney
at 13:00:18

imo, we would be silly to sell delaney. he is very decent backup at this level. selling him would mean having to bring another cb in which, in this market could be quite expensive.

if we were to find someone to replace him on lower wages then this would make sense but the talked about players at the moment e.g. gabbidon, collins would be probably on almost double delaneys wages if we were to bring them here.

Pitch Passes Second Inspection

thank goodness for that, would have been especially harsh on people making the trip down from middlesborough to call it off at such short notice.

hoping for another reason to smile today, 3 points!! COYB

Jewell Confirms Lavery Has Turned Down Deal
at 10:52:47

lavery should just take what he is offered. he may get more money at spurs and leicester, but town have a good recent history of bringing through young players and he can move on to bigger money later instead of languishing in the reserves at a premier league club...

Jewell: Offer in to Premier League Club
at 12:26:22

optimus_ryan21... that is the most sense i have heard on this site in a long time. Ipswich has always been about sticking with managers, we cannot just sack him 4 games into his first season with us.

pj will pull through given time, he knows we need a CB, but we need the right CB which will take time instead of rushing out and getting another delaney...

Jewell Looking for Town to Bounce Back in Front of Cameras
at 16:48:59

as much as i agree that performances ( and more importantly results ) have been sub-standard, we have played 3 games this season! I dont believe how many people are talking about a 'decline of the club' judge how things are once a decent amount of games have passed - at least 10 games - before you mention such things. it was only a couple of weeks ago after the Bristol City game that there was so much optimism here...

PJ knows we need strengthening at CB , he is just making sure we get the right one, one that Will help us improve as a team and isnt just a sidewards step such as signing a player like Nyron Nosworthy

Evans Linked Again
at 14:26:11

Right now we have the following strikers in the first team...

Scotland
Priskin
Chopra
Ellington
Carson
Murray

Pressuming that scotland does leave as has been rumoured, we still have 5 strikers in the squad. i still believe we could do with another striker but £3m seems a little expensive when all i believe we need is a backup in this area. perhaps take a punt on a striker in the lower leagues ( Davies from Chesterfield, Le Fondre from Rotherham) who would be hungry and relish a chance in our league and also would be less of a risk than Evans.

O\'Connor May Have to Move On
at 12:48:08

i don't see why PJ has brought in another LB. we already have 3 decent players in that position and was probably the healthiest position in the team regarding decent backup (Whight and O'Connor). now i think shane has to go as it is not possible to satisfy all four in that one position and still have continuity in the squad.

IMO there are areas in the team that require much more urgent strengthening (e.g. CM and Wide Players) and where players can be brought in without in the process shutting out a more than decent young player, as in S O'C's case. he is better a than 4th choice LB at championship level and really deserves the chance to move on and prove himself at this level or at L1 level.

Cropper Signs Deal
at 11:55:53

IMO it can't really be any harm to make him the number 2 keeper already. i believe ALB isn't really good enough for us after the Swansea and Norwich thrashings and Cropper i presume would be on much cheaper wages than him too.

all the same maybe being sent out on loan would be more beneficial to him as it is only in case of injury he would be getting a starting place here, especially in his first professional season.

One last point, perhaps rather assuming but the Americans are generally very good at producing goalkeepers (Brad Freidel, Kasey Keller, Tim Howard etc.) and to be selected for u20's proves that he has real talent.

Jewell Still Waiting on News of Bids
at 09:01:38

Go on PJ, bring in the new Fabian Wilnis from Holland!

really happy we have entered the market for players early. really refreshing considering the last few years where we picked up very expensive last minute signings (Jason Scotland 750k, Leadbitter 3.5m etc). he seems to know what is needed to get to the promised land, the most excited i've been in a long time supporting the Super Blues!
