Ipswich were by far the better side today and should of won the game. The atmosphere was fantastic with the town fans making all the noise. Hyram, Hewitt were good but I can't believe smith and ndaw haven't been mentioned, both were first class and tabb did well and was a very willing runner. Ipswich positive throughout and could of won by at least two goals. Peterborough looked poor though I can't believe they have been scoring goals |

Would it not of been easier just to go with a blend of experience and youth and stick with it, rather than changing your mind all the time. No team in this division can rely on youth as its still physical and direct and likewise a team full of old experienced players wouldn't cope with the pace of the championship either. I am a qualified coach working in a pro academy and I can't believe jewel hadn't worked this out and developed a plan and stuck with it. The top managers has a system and style of play they believe in and get players in to fit the system. It makes recruiting scouting much easier. I don't believe pj operates this way which is wrong IMHO |

cresswell poor in the first half.
Clearly these comments show a real lack of knowledge of the game. Leadbitters job is to keep the ball moving left or right to areas of pitch least defended, and Cresswel did everything right first half and only one attack came down his side.
I agree Murphy was quiet, but town dominated the game, over elaborated to much and became sloppy in retaining the ball 2nd half which gave Barnsley some encouragement.
Both LB and Drury pressed and worked well and used the ball well in possession. Carlos Edwards was very good today as well. |
