met Sir Alf and Lady Ramsey when I quoted for some work at his house in Valley Road, he was an absolute gentleman and I saw the trophies he had in the room at the side of the house, I was only 20 at the time (or thereabouts) and was in awe of his achievements and remember stuttering and didn't know what to say when he came into the shop but he made you feel at ease, lovely lovely man and a great honour to meet him and his record as manager of Ipswich and England will never be bettered... |
