Mick Mills. Alternatively, I hope ME splashes out and gets someone with decent Premiership experience (rather than wasting it on new players left right and centre), who knows exactly what they're doing (eg. Rednapp). No point wasting money on someone unproven; otherwise we'll be in the same situation in 18 months time again. Get a manager that can identify the lackadaisical players and get rid of them, and who can motivate the skillful hard workers. We need a return to the one pass attacking football we had under Burley, not this backwards and forwards triangle rubbish. Sooner we do that the sooner we'll be filling the seats a PR and getting into the Premiership where the much needed money is. |

For those of you that are complaining at GL's quote, suggesting he's waiting for the best deal he can get... Yes it seems disapointing to us because we love ITFC, but to him its just a job, and I'm sure most of us would want to 'hold out' for the best deal for our daily job too. That doesn't mean we don't like our jobs. I sure the majority of us want our employers to pay us more than they do.. |

I'm not being funny, but who cares when former players score a goal or get an international call-up or whatever. If we've loaned them out somewhere then yeah, maybe it might be of interest. |

Dyer was great back in the day, but I wouldn't want him back. He'll just get injured again, again. I just cannot see what long term benefit it'll give us. |
| News Comment | Keane: We\'re A Long Way From the Play-Offs at 12:48:47
Perhaps Keane /is/ the reason for our poor performances and results, but I'm convinced the main reason is our players are either rubbish or not putting in 100% effort. The last time I saw ITFC string a couple of games together playing with 100% effort was when Burley was manager. To be honest, I don't think we'd be in an any different position now whatever manager we could've had taking over from Magilton, perhaps with the exception of a four or five Premiership managers. Let face it, our squad has been a mess since we was relegated from the Premiership. Yes, I'm also losing faith with Roy and wondering if we'd be better off with another manager, but I honestly cannot see it being much different with another manager, especially of the calibre we're likely to attract. I think you need at least four Premiership quality players (of the quality that would regularly play) in a team to have a good chance of getting promoted to the Championship. Yes, there are a handful or quality players in the Championship that haven't played in the Premiership, but we won't get them because we won't pay the going rate (because we cannot afford it). As much as it pains me to say it, looking at our squad, I think we're probably in the correct position. If Marcus Evans wants to see us in the Premiership then I suspect the only way he's going to see that any time soon is if he takes a gamble and gets a few 4+ million players — but I don't think he will despite his wealth. |
