Simply not good enough, that sums up the Town performance today.They lack real quality in far too many areas of the pitch.
B Murphy - cannot kick - real concern put the team under unnecessary pressure
Edwards - his positional play when defending is worrying - slightly better going forward
Walters - alot of energy but lacks quality with the key balls at the key times
Leadbitter - did not dominate gave too many balls away and lost too many one on one battles
Positives - Peters looked Towns biggest threat, why then did Keane move him to left back in the 2nd half.
I think we have been more than patient with Keane, however I do now think that it might be time for a change and see whether some body else can get more out of this bunch of players.

i dont have a clue anymore, i think Mcauley will come back into the squad tonight and i think he will play well. he needs to prove himself to keane, he is a decent defender he just needs the confidence back that he seemed to have playing under jim. do not rate tommy smith in the slightest but pim was awful on sat. he has to give wrighty a run out at left back because delaney has been awful all season, cant defend or put a decent ball in the box. i would like to see walters back on his wright wing and the so far dreadful edwards on the bench. i would also like to see owen garvan given another chance even if its off the bench!
Big effort tonight from the boys and hopefully 3 points, points would be good though. we need to back the boys with plenty on noise fron the fans! COYB! |

i have just seen Roy keane's interview on sky...
he kept saying he is "doing his best", to me "your best" means you cant do anymore to improve, if that is the case he may aswell leave now. we have another top side tomorrow and if im being honest i really cant even see us scoring a goal against such a strong defence. and that will be 10 games with out a win and puts us in real trouble, and almost without a chance of challanging for promotion at any stage of the season. i will support keane and the team what ever happens but this really is a worrying time for town.
we need 3 points tomorrow... so COME ON YOU BLUES!!!! |

totally agree but he is here now and not playing so we may aswell send him out on loan! but jonny walters was signed after having one good game in the cup against town playing for chester city... so clearly sometimes those gambles do pay off!! |

Healy is actually 29 and clearly has been a decent player in the past.
loaning him out would be good for him, get some regular first team football in, and bring out the class that he has shown for other english clubs! |

Not a GM fan to be honest, he was truely awful against boro and his mistakes cost us the game. i think sol would be a good addidtion, but im not sure its a good idea as it would only be a short term solution, but then again players like Bruce amd pim would learn alot and become better players if they were to play and train alongside him. This notts county affair is the first time campbell has ever really let himself down. |

Best of luck to you Shane. It must have been an extremely difficult decision to make, a decision clearly influenced by the lack of opportunity in the past. If you are not happy in what you are doing it takes a brave man to make a decision as big as this. |
