| News Comment | Lambert Delighted With Jackson's Form at 21:53:39
Stunned by this to be honest.i think Jackson has been really ineffective even at this level - slows the game down, makes bad decisions, poor touch and rarely presents a threat. Would love to see Sears instead. |
| News Comment | Rotherham United 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 21:55:38
That was the worst performance I've seen home or away this season. No idea what Norris was doing for the goal, although we thoroughly deserved to lose. And I'm sorry, but Edwards, Judge and Jackson can leave on free transfers if they want to - I'm fed up with their performances. |
| News Comment | Posh Could Eye Blues Striker Jackson Claim at 11:49:21
I wouldn't be unhappy to see Jackson go. I don't think he's effective, his distribution and finishing is pretty poor, and he makes bad decisions. I'd let him go and replace him with a target man that can hold the ball up and that sears/Norwood can play off. |
| News Comment | Exeter City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:29:17
I agree with the Lambert comments and can't believe he was given a 5 year contract for taking us down and winning zip in 11. But the 11 picked today were still capable of beating a League 2 side that had made 9 changes themselves, and the players need to start taking some responsibility. I really don't know where a win is going to come from. Happy new year! |
| News Comment | Town Cut Season Ticket Prices But By How Much Depends on How Many Sold at 14:55:36
Really pleased to see the positive comments, but I think they've judged this wrong and £2-3 off ticket prices is short of what I expected and I suspect won't attract anything like 12k sales. I'd have liked to have seen 20% off and get more people at the ground, in the shop and buying chicken tikka pies (they are good). I'll be back next year but sadly suspect many discretional supporters won't be. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Queens Park Rangers - Match Report at 18:37:46
Ok, so there were too many poor individual performances and mistakes - Ward, Nsiala, Donacian, Gerken. But we were set up to fail weren't we? A right back at left back, a centre back at right back, a World Cup left back on the bench, and pumping high balls up to a 5'8” lone striker at home - even when when we're 2-0 down. Too much change, too quickly, league 1 signings, last years youngsters loaned out, and I think he's lost the dressing room and the old pro's. We need 7 points from Preston, Reading and Milwall. Maybe a hiding at Leeds will wake Evans up... |
| News Comment | Hurst: You Can’t Give Goals Away Against a Side Like Boro at 23:09:31
I want to rage but don't know where to start... I think my biggest doubt is that the few experienced pro's we have aren't showing up and that makes me wonder if they believe in Hurst. Sears is one of the little championship experience we have left and thought he staked a claim tonight. We can cut out mistakes at the back but I still don't see enough of a threat of goals in our squad or formation at the other end to get us out of trouble. Hurst has to take responsibility for that. Good to see Andre's class again. |
| News Comment | Hurst: We Didn't Work Their Keeper Enough at 21:06:52
To restate the obvious...change was needed but too many changes, too quickly, over dependent on too many unproven league 1 players, most of last year's youngsters dropped, no consistency or settled first 11, insist on playing 1 up front, no threat.... not sure Hurst has the confidence of the pro's either... Big month coming up |
