Malarczyk Joins Southend on Loan
at 17:47:27

We have Digby and Foley who can fill in at the back, they have been taking the places on the bench anyway. Makes sense to me. Give the boy some game time, you cant really question the recruitment here, he cost £8.5k. If it works its great if it doesn't, no loss. This is the same Mick who signed Mings for £10k and sold him for £8million...

Doncaster's Friend Linked
at 14:05:06

Mainly used as a CB i believe, would be a good addition to the backline. I would hope if Cresswell does move on then PJ will look for a dedicated Left back though and not another 'centre half whose equally adept out wide'!

Blackburn Boss Confirms Bullard Interest
at 14:41:25

Doesn't sound like Kean is too interested in JB to be honest, as for advanced talks with QPR I would imagine as they are now in talks with Joey Barton that interest will be cooled? JB is still a quality player and would I feel form a great partnership with Andrews who has looked good despite results........COYB

Sonko On Trial

Solid, experienced and is someone I have always rated quite highly....30 is a good age for CB, may be the more experienced head we need to keep Delaney from crumbling again. Hopefully a step in the right direction, COYB.

Jewell Slams Martin\'s Disciplinary Record
at 13:22:20

As much as I feel LM is growing into the player that Keane was so eager to bring here, 11 yellows and a red last season is shocking, I agree wih PJ that the majority are for petty incidents and that is something which has to be stamped out of his game. Reacting out of frustration, arguing with the ref and getting yourself banned not only affects the team but the fans also, especially fans that have been so welcoming since returning from a loan in league 1 (where he failed to set the world alight) I like LM, pre season he was one of the better players and against Bristol City was starting to look like he was worth the money we paid! Sort it out Lee, your red on Saturday was debatable but was avoidable and now were going to miss you when we need you most! I have to say bringing this into the public eye was possibly not PJs smartest move but if it helps improve LMs disciplinery record and makes him appreciate his place in the team then good move. COYB

Jewell: Offer in to Premier League Club
at 11:51:04

I think we need to remember here that for the last 4-5 seasons we have really struggled to make an impact in this league, we have had scores of overpayed average players......(Norris, Leadbitter,Edwards,Quinn,Delaney,Smith,Fulop,Priskin,Scotland) and a manager in Keane who despite his success as a player couldn't motivate the players he had bought in.....the last 2 games have been horrific and nobody knows that more then PJ, but we have to remember that this summer was about completely rebuilding the team rather then throwing money at it like Keane did. At least with PJ we are made aware of the players he is after and know that he is looking to fix the problems we have. Quality defenders are hard to come by and its not PJs fault that GMac left, Upson,Ferdinand,Woodgate were the exact players we all said we wanted ITFC to go after on this very site at the start of the summer! credit to him for going after them, i have faith he will come good in his search for a quality CB and I would rather suffer a few crappy results then have another 2 seasons of just chucking money at positions and getting nowhere......calling for his head already is pathetic.......Cresswell, Chopra, JET, Stockdale, Bowyer, Andrews are great players for thsi club and we should be getting behind the club and the manager and not quitting 4 games into the season.....theres 43 games left.........COYB

David Wright Confirms His Town Exit
at 11:08:35

Roy Keane - take a bow son, yet another classic decision!

let me guess it wouldnt be a certain Phil Bardsley who were goin to have replace possibly are most consistant player over the last 3 years would it? more sunderland rejects,great.........especially with resenior going we now have NOBODY!

the chances of us getting in anyone more committed and better are extremley remote, so unless you crack out a deal for dani alves or sergio ramos you have lost me here.

DW i really hope you find a manger who appreciates you as you have always been one of my favourite town players, all the best!

Keane: First Goal Crucial
at 20:43:44

that was just not acceptable, I thought we were finally getting somewhere but clearly not.......i have always support Keano but after that shambles i think it may be time to move on........ a team of sunderland rejects is not good enough- the hefty transfer budgets have caused nothing but problems...bring back the days where we had no money but a team willing to fight an finish in the top 3...i remember when the £250k spent on a certain Darren Currie was a huge deal.....

Wright in Team of the Week
at 14:27:40

Has a great attitude and just wants to do well for the club, even on his weaker side is stronger then delaney, thatcher and peters...should be a definite within our back 4. Full back positions look strong its just centrally we need to work harder..
much deserved recognition!

Keane Looking for Town to Push On
at 14:22:24

Both teams had good results at the weekend but I feel town have that little bit more quality, if we can keep rasiak, howard and mcAnuff quite Im sure we can push on and get ourselves off the bottom. We all know our squad has weaknesses but with players like leadbitter, walters and wright we really shouldn't be were we are. I woud like to see an attacking display on Saturday, they are poor at home and sitting back will only cause us major issues!

think hard Mr. Keane
