The club do know the criteria and have done for some time. Do you think it's wise not spending an extra 1 million a year on youth development but giving 33 year old Jimmy Bullard a million pounds a year in wages ? |

Clubs can poach players whatever the category. The point of being a cat 1 are being able to sign players nationwide, being able to spend more coaching hours with the players, with better qualified coaches. Being able to compete in the new reserve league and offering better facilities for young players are just a few reasons. With financial fair play coming in and ITFC having to bring their wage bill down by 30% the only way forward is to get the academy going again. |

Can believe what I'm reading on here! The difference between cat 1 or cat 2 is a million pounds but the benefits are huge. We currently run at a loss of 10 to 15 million pounds a year which is added to our debt. Marcus Evans can only pay of the debt if we are promoted to the prem which means that if we are promoted there's no chance of investment in the team! I can tell you we are going for cat 2 which puts our academy on the likes of stevenage, Northampton and Barnet. |
