I sympathise with all town fans but don't agree with all that's said past and present, the atmosphere around the ground last year was awful to say the least, but I saw this coming! Mick over archived with limited resources, he had an eye for talent more hits than misses. Ask yourself a question do any of us seriously think he would have invested the money on Harrison/Kayden/Nolan and Nsiala? I personally feel the amount spent would have been better suited to maybe one/two players of real quality under micks management. Ok the style of play wasn't great but look where we were and where we are? Besides the point I'm trying to make I feel as fans we expect to much from what we actually have. We need to stop looking at the past. Get back to basics, support the team, encourage some confidence and hopefully a big chunk of luck we can kick on. On another note we lack goals and the boys up top need help ino it's another wild shot but the only person I think that's worth bringing in at present with Jon Walters out is Bent. Unattached and paper work the only formality? Hurst needs time so let's give him it! Up the town!!

Sorry can't defend that one! What a poor team we have become, never wanted mick at the club but was pleasantly surprised as to how well we had come on under his management in the past two seasons. Like the majority after watching that this evening I now feel he has to go, my reasons we can't defend we have no direction we don't have a decent goal score on our books for past two seasons Fraser-loan Lawrence-loan the exception! There's nothing in the middle, have always thought skuse work goes unnoticed and gets unfair stick for others failings. We r desperately lacking a leader and someone with creativity. Best is past his, sears is a worker but not much of a goal poacher! Ward looks far from the player he was at the start of the season, chambers Berra look exhausted, fed up and uninterested out of ideas! What's bloody well happened? We are now in the same merry go round we were in under Keane. Get Gary rowett in now and bring on the young guns for the next season, this lot look ready for the holidays! Sorry mick supported you up to this point but it's now no longer a matter of time but when. Thankyou good bye you are towns weakest link! |

I'd love to see town go out and buy one that got away Connor Hourihane I think he's developed and proved at this level he can cut it, would be a massive improvement on what we have in the centre of the park atm. Would also take ward as yet again he's on the score sheet again today. |

Every week it's the same on here the same as every season since Joe Royal left!! Let's put this out there for all fans, Ipswich from my 32yrs of supporting them have never spent millions on players, we find gems amongst the rocks we developed our own and we've always picked up a few decent free agents. You lot never seem content and before you all decide to assume I'm happy with it your wrong, fact is this is how our club has been run for years would you rather go back to the sheepshanks era spend all that money on average players get in debt and be lookin at administration? We are Ipswich town fc it's a fans family club that was owned once by farmers the times changed the money became more and the club had to evolve, we are not a big city club with endless amounts of money. Micks saved us from dark days and he's what this club needed he deserves credit where it's due we've had two decent seasons in the top 8. Who said he's does know what he's doing Christ sake he gets us there when all the others around us spend millions! Support don't slate be careful what you wish for its better the devil you know! |

Bradley dack!!! Any thoughts anyone? Don't wanna lose Murphy but reality is time is against him do I think he loves the town, that's a yes I think he's a good player for us and hope in time will coach our youth team in some capacity! Great servant to this club so let's not all be be to quick to push him out of the door why can't we keep and have faith in him and buy another centre forward?! |

Pleased with the game and it's a 1st to enjoy watching it on sky without losing!!! My visiting father inlaw even enjoyed it and said town were in his eyes the better team! I do however feel we need another forward to push Sears murph and pitman, still rather see another right back through the door before the window closes, who's out there that could improve our team in these positions? |

Town by far the more deserving team but all round good result! Grant ward will be a great player for town man of the match today, we had a goal disallowed and penalty appeal turned down. I can't complain as a realistic fan. Happy days onwards and upwards! |

BillBlue I get that your frustrated I am also and I'm fed up with lack of investment but can't see anything changing any time soon! I want to see a run like we had with burley I want to see the next Kieron dyer and Connor wickhams but I accept that our football club is what it is, as long as we don't go out of business, as long as we don't go into administration everything else on top of that is a bonus. I love every game we play I love every win we have I feel frustrated with every loss but that's football. Until we get millions of pounds to spend and the football leagues wise up and become fair on every level this is how I feel it's going to be. I only hope we get lucky and have a rare breed of talent within our youths to play the beautiful game and help promote our great club. Football and finance has lost touch with supporters, players don't value fans clubs don't value us either. Football should go back to basics but we all know that ain't going to happen players should lower there wages clubs should lower there ticket prices. We all know it!!! |

By all accounts from what I've read and heard town were not at the races today! I start every season feeling positive as do all town fans. I think Mick has improved our team and I do think it would be a tad unfair to axe him this early on in the season. I do think we should give him the the opertunity To see how the next few games pan out. The transfer window isn't closed, we've spent a few quid, we have room for a few loans. If we bring in a goal scorer and he does he business everyone will praise mick, at the end of the day we are not a big club we don't spend the large sums of money and we don't have an owner who wants to invest like other clubs. Evans treats town as a business it's run like one. I feel he's had his fingers burnt by the likes of Keane got nowhere with the hapless Jewel and micks balanced the books made the money on some shrewed investments "Mings" so why would he change his mind set?! Any one in business will look after there money first, Evans sees mick as a sound investment so I'm afraid until ticket sales fall and players fail to sell looks like we are staying as we are! Get on with it my bloods blue my harts blue and no matter who's in charge I will support town it might not be the most entertaining football but it's my club and no amount of money can change that it's pride and passion followed by hope! One day it might happen who knows look what happens last year in the prem! No one saw that coming! |

I'm buzzing for the new season regardless to how many new players we've managed to acquire over pre season or how well we as fans rate them from the past. It's a new season it's a fresh start for all and I like most town fans will support the town weather we win lose or draw at home or on the road. For me the premier lg is going to be strong and just as entertaining as last season, as will be the championship, I'm a town fan through and through and every year like you other fans I feel frustrated come the end of the season. But and this is a but I'm realistic, we are a small club with a massive history, we can not compete with the millions that's being spent this year. I'm happy and excited at the prospect of seeing our home grown talent develop and become integral players this season. This team could be the foundation for future seasons as was the one burley put together back in the 90's micks not everyone's cup of tea and nor does he excite me, never had him down as a town manager nor did I want him to be, but to be fair credit where credit is due he's improved us year on year he's balanced the books and I feel we are now starting build. So let's all get behind the team come 3pm tomorrow and roar, be that 12th man all season long and see where we end up come May.
Enjoy your season town fans we are the underdogs and everyone loves an underdog story
We can show our yellow and green neighbors we don't need millions as we have youth and unity and for me this season anything is possible! |
