5 in midfield certainly didnt work this week and whilst it was fairly balanced in the 1st half, their midfield won the contest in the 2nd half.
Cresswell was the standout player for me and as above Chops is only gonna be effective with support. Without, we night as well stuck with Scotland!

Jewell did exactly the right thing with his team selection imo. I wasnt able to see the match tonight and appreciate it is only the one match but if the likes of Peters, Smith and the only frindge players can't get it togther against a league 2 outfit then whats the point in keeping them as part of a team with Premiership aspirations.
Maybe a bit harsh but we have to get real and we need championship league squad cover if we are going to do anything this season!!!!!!!! |

Agree Churchmans to a point. It would be nice to build on the confidence levels and turn in a good performance as well as trying different players and resting key players from Saturday. Definately:
GK - give ELB or Pc a turn
Put Healy in for Bowyer
Save Chops and JET and try Scotlands, Priskin and definateky Ellingtion.
Hope fully we'll have far more to be excited about this year however let us not forget the excitment that the Cup run gave us last year! I can see your sentiment however the PR crowd need to go home happy as well to put us in good voice for Hull!!! |

Fab start but dont want to get too excited just yet!. Can't comment too much as wasnt able to listen or watch the match - sounds as though it made a difference having a) someone who can actually score i.e Mr Chops and b) someone who can actually save them from going in i.e. Mr Stockdale!
Who would have thought that that could ever be a winning solution!

I really can't understand why Peters doesnt get a look in. I started going regularly to games last season and in the first half of the season when he was getting games was one of the few standout players for me.
Does anyone have the low down on this? Whilst I think PJ's done/doing a great job so far - I can't understand why he hasnt given JP a go! |
