Huddersfield 0-2 Town
at 22:21:12

Stuck out at sea but have been glued to the vidi printer all evening. This result has made my day.

You just can not predict our performance or result!!

Fair fair play to the boys this evening, they have kept the season and our dreams alive for a bit longer.

I must admit to being one of those who was a bit sceptical of the initial team selection - but what do I know! So I to am off to the Galley to eat some Humble pie!!

Big shout out for the 500 plus who made that long midweek journey back up north - a brilliant effort, have a safe journey home.

I know there are many many loyal blues out there who part with hard earned money and give up time to support the club. This guy is a legend that NEEDS recognising by the club in some capacity and I hope this happens.

Town 3-0 Millwall
at 18:22:47

So happy this evening - listened on the net, so you can not get a totally fair reflection of the game. What I could understand is that it was the sort of game we could of gone on to lose a season or two ago and not won comfortably 3-0, especially after nil nil at the break.

I know it is only the second league game of the season but today was a massively important win as it settles nerves and confidence after the two results in the week.

Skuse sounds like a very sound addition. Can anyone at the game confirm this and comment about the team in general.

Todays win is a perfect leaving present as I deploy to the high seas until xmas but shall be observing TWTD as much as possible to monitor the Super Blues.

Such a valuable win today especialy as i would of taken the point before the game. These kind of results would not of happened under previous managements and just proves what a difference a manager can make and hopefuly do

Why are so many fans against Paul Jewell - a very good track record in this league

Town Topic: Who Should Replace Keane?

I had a season ticket from the Ferguson years until the early Burley era until I joined the Forces. Since then I have had to rely on this forum to determine the general mood of the feelings of us fans about our great club. What I can easily feel is that today's decision is the correct one but also a sad one. Over the last couple of seasons (under Jim and Roy) there has been nothing but depressing posts on our clubs status and at many times it has made very depressing reading. I know who I would like to be made our next leader but what I would like most is that we all rally behind the boys and create a real good factor again and make it fun supporting our Super Blues.

Rant over

If dreams came true - O'neil.
Realistic (maybe) - Curbs with Matty as right hand man.

However would have no problem with Jewell, who I think has a very good track record with very unfashionable clubs and if not Hughton who I would of thought would be very hungry to get back in the game to prove a point if nothing else.

Megson = please no for the love of GOD - BORING AND VERY SCUM LIKE

Leicester Match Goes Ahead
at 13:28:16

Come on Roy lets have an attack minded starting eleven and have a real go !!
I really do feel that without a win AND a good performance, it will be Roy's last match, especially as it's on the box. Still it won't stop me from screaming the lads on for a much needed victory.

New Signings In Squad for Sunday\'s East Anglian Derby
at 18:37:27

Don't post often but felt the need to as the nerves (but also excitement) have well and truly kicked in, lol, just wanted to say that it doesn't matter what camp you're in with regards to Keano being ITFC manager, lets all just get behind the lads, whether you're at the game, in front of the TV (screaming!!) or listening on the radio we must all cheer on the super blues to a win over the "old budgie foe"
my favourite' budgie beater' was Ulthorns wonderful own goal to seal victory in the 1996 season. Great memories!! Any to add?

Totally relate to what you have said mightybutch

I was lucky enough to of been a season ticket holder from 87 til 96 when I was a lad living in north Essex and the super blues were my religion. However in 96 I joined the Navy settled in Pompey and soon got married had three lads and like you family commitments, job and cost prevent me from goiing. So god bless the internet its not the same as the real deal but its certainly the next best thing.

If you read this and you fancy it mail me back cos obviously being in the same neck of the woods we could share petrol expences and perhaps go to a few games.

Great blog

Town Topic: Wem-Burley 10 Years On
at 23:23:31

I rarely post comments but that day will live with me forever and felt the need to post. My one and only dream as a boy was to see Town walk out at Wembley. I was 23 at the time and due to joining the Navy, getting hitched and settling in Portsmouth a few years earlier my season ticket had to be sacarficed and visits to PR were/are now a rare treat. As soon as the final whistle blew against Bolton I was on the phone to my Dad to see if he could square me away with a ticket and it was not until the night before the Final that he came through for me (I had by that time given up hope of going). I drove up from Pompey on my own and by the time I had met up with my Dad in London I had already lost my voice, due to singing all Terrace chants I could think of. I had no idea where my ticket was situated and could not of given a toss if I had to of sat on a milk crate that was stuck behind a brick wall. Imagine my disbelief when scruffy old me wearing ripped jeans and Town shirt ended up in the Wembley VIP suite enjoying a posh three course meal - and getting munted on champagne and beer. (To this day I do not know how he got hold of that ticket or what it cost him). We all know how the game turned out, what with so many twists and turns. My personal high light was crying like a baby when Burley and Holland led the boys out and the equalising goal by Sir Mogga as me and my Dads mate (who I was sat with) commenced jumping up and down on the tables much to the disdane of the Suites staff, LMAO.

Unfortuneatly I could not make it back to my home Town that night but remember watching the re-runs on the TV supping on a few cold ones back home Utterly drained from the whole occassion. Today I still use my Wembley flag as a curtain for my bunk space onboard ship and look back fondly on the DVD when pissed.

A great great day.
